Carcinoid papillomatosis of Gotthron skin is a rare disease, first described by Gottron in 1932.
Causes and pathogenesis
The causes and pathogenesis of carcinoid papillomatosis in Gotthron skin have not been adequately studied. In the development of the disease, great importance is attached to chronic long-lasting diseases and mechanical injuries.
Histopathology
Histologically, acanthosis is noted with enlarged epithelial outgrowths penetrating deep into the dermis. If the ties of the strands with the epidermis are lost in the dermis, nests of epithelial cells are identified.
Symptoms of Gotthron skin carcinoid papillomatosis
The disease is more common in men than in women. Carcinoid papillomatosis often develops on the site of a long-existing dermatosis (eczema, red flat lichen, ichthyosis, lupus erythematosus of the skin, etc.) or on scars. Characteristic of the appearance of symmetrical (less often unilateral) tumor lesions on the skin of the lower limbs, which are sharply delimited from the surrounding healthy skin, protrude above its level, have a testic consistency. The surface of the hearth resembles a cauliflower, because on its surface there are vegetation, which are separated by grooves, where there are sticky separable with an unpleasant odor and horny masses of a yellowish-whitish color.

Treatment of carcinoid papillomatosis in Gotthron skin
Prescribe broad-spectrum antibiotics, vasodilators, vitamin preparations, cytostatics. For local therapy we recommend lotion from solutions of furacilin, potassium permanganate (1: 10,000), dressings impregnated with hypertonic sodium chloride solution. After eliminating the secondary infection, they begin to remove the verrucous foci. To do this, cryo-or laser degeneration is carried out.
