Doctors pay special attention to women expecting a child. Red urine during pregnancy worries both the expectant mother and her attending physician. Therefore, it is very important to find out the causes of hematuria, exclude possible pathologies and, if possible, stop this condition.

Reasons

Factors that provoke the symptom - red urine during pregnancy:

  • Idiopathic hematuria of pregnancy. A poorly understood clinical symptom, fortunately transient and not considered an alarming sign.
  • Injuries, back bruises, falls.
  • Sudden changes in hormonal levels due to stress and anxiety.
  • Infectious diseases that pose a risk to the health of not only the woman, but also the fetus (scarlet fever, chickenpox, rubella).
  • Urolithiasis.
  • Hemangioma of the kidney.
  • History of chronic kidney disease prior to pregnancy.
  • Hypothermia, cystitis.
  • Kidney cyst.
  • Venous thrombosis.
  • Hepatopathologies.
  • Arteriovenous fistula.
  • Taking medications and vitamins.
  • Taking anticoagulants.
  • Failure to comply with hygiene rules.
  • A sharp growth spurt in the fetus, pressure on the bladder
  • History of diabetes mellitus.
  • Haemorrhoids.

Extrarenal hematuria of pregnant women responds best to treatment; renal and postrenal hematuria are more difficult and risky for the fetus.
