Before proceeding to eliminate the cause of the appearance of white discharge in men, it is necessary to undergo a comprehensive diagnosis. After the doctor identifies the nosology and establishes the type of pathogen, a therapy plan is drawn up.

The main goals of treatment:

  • Relief of clinical symptoms.
  • Reducing the frequency of relapses.
  • Prevention of development of complications.
  • Reducing the risk of sexual partner infection.
  • Improving the quality of life of the patient.

Most diseases are treated with broad-spectrum antibiotics. After determining the sensitivity of the microflora, the patient is prescribed a drug to which the pathogen is less resistant.

If intracellular bacteria became the cause of white exudate from the penis, then the man is prescribed medications that can penetrate into cellular structures to fight parasites. For fungal infections, antifungal drugs are used, both for external and internal use. If the discharge occurs with severe pain, then non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and painkillers are used.

Also, the therapy may include physiotherapy procedures aimed at stimulating local immunity. Vitamins and minerals are taken to increase the body's defenses. Particular attention is paid to preventive measures, the main purpose of which is to prevent the recurrence of the problem or its complications.

Drug treatment

The method of treating white discharge in men directly depends on the cause of their origin. Only after establishing the factors for the appearance of pathological exudate, the doctor draws up a treatment plan and prescribes medications.

Vitamins

Deficiency of nutrients in the body negatively affects the state of the immune system, reduces its protective properties. And this may be one of the possible reasons for the appearance of white exudate from the penis in men.

To maintain immunity and speed up the healing process, it is recommended to take the following drugs:

  • Vitamin A - stimulates the production of testosterone (male hormone), which has a beneficial effect on the potency and quality of seminal fluid. Retinol is found in carrots, eggs, dairy products, fish, offal.
  • Vitamins of group B - B1 is necessary for metabolic processes, B2 takes part in the transfer of oxygen molecules to tissues, stimulating metabolism. B6 is necessary for the normal functioning of the brain, during stress and other factors that negatively affect the central nervous system. B9 is the main element on which the quality of sperm depends. Also, folic acid is involved in the synthesis of DNA and RNA molecules, improves the structure of spermatozoa. B12 stimulates metabolic processes and controls the process of cell division.
  • Vitamin C - has antioxidant properties, fights the negative effects of stress factors on the body. Ascorbic acid is especially important for men with nicotine and alcohol addiction. Vitamin maintains a healthy state of blood vessels, prevents the development of pathologies from the cardiovascular system, improves the condition of the skin, joints and cartilage.
  • Vitamin D is essential for the absorption of calcium, magnesium and phosphorus. Supports the functions of the heart muscle and brain.
  • Vitamin E - stimulates the production of testosterone, affects sexual functions. Prevents fragility of blood vessels, slows down the aging process, removes cholesterol.
  • Vitamin H - takes part in carbohydrate-fat metabolism, improves the structure of the dermis, nails and hair.
  • Vitamin N - affects the functioning of the thyroid gland, supports the healthy functioning of the liver, hearing and vision. Thanks to its antioxidant properties, it protects the body from radiation and heavy metals.
  • Vitamin PP - takes part in the redox processes of the body. Without nicotinic acid, hormones such as estrogen, testosterone, insulin, cortisone, thyroxine, progesterone cannot be formed.

In order for vitamins to bring maximum benefit, the age of the man should be taken into account:

  1. 20-40 years old - retinol, B vitamins, tocopherol, PP, ascorbic acid, as well as lecithin, vitamin N and essential phospholipids.
  2. 40-55 years old - for men of this age, antioxidant substances and drugs that support the health of the cardiovascular system are important. Vitamin A, C, E, B is recommended.

3. Over 55 years old - at this age, the ability to produce vitamin D decreases, so you should take care of additional sources of its intake. To slow down the aging process and maintain the health of the reproductive system, vitamins A, E, C, B12, N are needed.

In addition to vitamins, minerals should also enter the male body: zinc, calcium, copper, chromium, magnesium, selenium, potassium, iron, iodine. Useful micro and macro elements, vitamins and minerals should be taken only for medical purposes.

Physiotherapy treatment

Ancillary treatment methods for the appearance of pathological discharge from the genital organs include physiotherapy. It is indicated if an unpleasant symptom is caused by inflammatory processes in the body (urethritis, cystitis, pyelonephritis, prostate inflammation, etc.).

Useful properties of physiotherapy:

  • Destroys pathogenic flora.
  • Promotes relaxation of the muscles of the urethra.
  • Starts local immune processes.
  • Reduces the activity of the inflammatory process.
  • Reduces / relieves painful symptoms.

The main types of physiotherapy procedures:

  1. Electrophoresis with the use of antibacterial drugs and drugs with uroantiseptic properties. Medicines are administered by means of an electric current, due to which the concentration of the active substance in the lesion increases by 1.5-2 times.
  2. Laser therapy with infrared radiation - during the procedure, the beam is directed to the anterior abdominal wall of the urethra. Intracavitary laser irradiation is also possible. The treatment course consists of ten procedures, the duration of which is 3-5 minutes.
  3. UHF therapy - relieves spasms of the muscles of the genital organs, is effective in chronic inflammatory processes in the urethra and in advanced diseases of the genitourinary system, that is, secondary immunodeficiency.
  4. Thermomagnetic therapy - warming up areas of inflammation, sanitation of the urogenital area, increasing the effectiveness of drug therapy.
  5. Ozone therapy - destroys pathogens, viruses and bacteria.
  6. Intravenous laser irradiation of blood - removes swelling from tissues, has an antibacterial effect, anesthetizes. This method of physiotherapy is especially effective in the allergic form of urethritis.

Despite all the beneficial properties, physiotherapy is contraindicated in the structures (narrowing) of the urethra, as well as in the presence of malignant neoplasms.

Alternative Treatment

This variant of therapy refers to non-traditional treatment methods. Most of the remedies are based on the use of medicinal plants and various alternative medicine recipes.

  • If white discharge is caused by a fungal infection, then decoctions based on chamomile and calendula are used as an auxiliary treatment method. 2 tbsp. Dry raw materials pour 500 ml of boiling water and insist for 40 minutes. The liquid is filtered and used to wash the penis 2-3 times a day.
  • Baking soda has antiseptic properties. Dissolve a teaspoon of soda powder in a liter of water, and wash the affected genitals.
  • Mix 10 tablespoons of lemon juice, 5 tablespoons of honey and onion juice. Take this mixture inside, 2-3 times a day. The tool helps to strengthen the immune system.
  • Tea tree oil has disinfectant, antiseptic and wound-healing properties. Apply 2-3 drops of oil to the glans penis and affected foreskin.
  • Eucalyptus-based compresses can be used to fight infection. Take three tablespoons of raw materials and pour 3 cups of boiling water, let it brew for 30 minutes. Strain the finished product and use for compresses.

Before using the above recipes, you should consult with your doctor and make sure there are no contraindications.

Herbal treatment

Medicinal plants are used in the treatment of many diseases, including inflammatory processes in the genitourinary system, fungal and infectious invasions. Herbal preparations are taken orally and used for external treatment of affected tissues.

  • Such plants have pronounced antiseptic properties: chamomile, oak bark, plantain, sage, string. Take one of the herbs and prepare an infusion from it (1 tablespoon of dry raw materials per 100 ml of boiling water). As soon as the liquid has cooled, it should be filtered and used for applications, compresses and washing the affected organ. The infusion can be poured into a glass and the penis can be immersed in it with an open head. The duration of such a procedure is 10-20 minutes, 4-6 times a day for 5 days.
  • If, in addition to pathological exudate, there are sores and erosions on the genitals, then a special oil will help to accelerate their healing. Take 1 tbsp. Calendula flowers and pour 80 ml of olive oil. The agent is infused for 21 days in a dark place and used to treat affected tissues.
  • To cleanse the urinary tract from the bacterial flora, preparations based on bearberry leaves can be used. The plant has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and diuretic properties. 2 tbsp herbs, pour 500 ml of boiling water, after cooling, strain, and take 100 ml 2-4 times a day.
  • If white discharge is associated with inflammation of the bladder or urethra, then horsetail decoctions will help. Two tablespoons herbs pour 500 ml of water and boil over low heat until boiling. After cooling, strain, and take 50-100 ml 2-3 times a day. The decoction has a diuretic, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effect. It also prevents the formation of stones in the genitourinary system.

Before using the above recipes, you must obtain medical permission to use them and make sure that there are no allergic reactions to the selected herbs.

Homeopathy

Another alternative method of treating pathological discharge in men is homeopathy. Most often, homeopathic remedies are used if an unpleasant symptom is caused by inflammation of the urinary tract and kidneys, activation of conditionally pathogenic flora. So, with urethritis and candidiasis, the following drugs are effective:

  • Berberis - tendency to form stones, stitching pains, burning in the groin. When urinating, discomfort occurs in the hips and lower back. Urine is rich yellow or reddish in color with white impurities.
  • Borax - this remedy is effective for fungal lesions of the mucosa after prolonged drug therapy. The patient often has a false urge to urinate, a feeling of hot urine, pain in the urethra.
  • Cannabissativa - has a pronounced effect on the urinary and genital tract, can be used in the treatment of gonorrhea. The patient has frequent urge to urinate, burning and itching in the process, bifurcation of the urine stream. The fluid secreted by the kidneys is cloudy, with an admixture of mucopurulent flakes.
  • Equisetum - has a beneficial effect on the organs of the genitourinary system. The main symptoms for the use of the drug include: pain in the kidneys, ureters and bladder. Urination does not bring relief, in urine a large amount of white impurities, mucus and protein.
  • Mercuriussolubilis is a broad-spectrum drug. It is prescribed for urological inflammatory process with a tendency to suppuration. In the analysis of urine, an increased number of leukocytes. There is abundant white mucous discharge, the urine is cloudy. When urinating, there are pain, burning, sensation of pulsation.

All of the above drugs can be taken only for medical purposes. To select an effective medicine, a homeopathic doctor studies the patient's medical history, symptoms, and other features of the body. The doctor also gives recommendations on the frequency of taking drugs and the total duration of therapy.
