MRI diagnostics

MRI in pregnancy: contraindications, consequences

For some reason, we all sometimes have to undergo any diagnostic tests. Do not make exceptions and women during pregnancy, because they have to track not only their health status, but also the development of a future child.

MRI of the spine

The diagnostic technique of magnetic resonance imaging is now recognized as one of the most revealing and informative instrumental procedures.

MRI of mammary glands

MRI of the breast or magnetic resonance imaging is a study that significantly helps to establish a diagnosis of the disease and conduct its treatment.

MRI of the liver

More important for diagnosing focal processes in the liver by examination is the liver MRI. The basis of MRI is the use of magnetic properties of protons distributed in all parts of the body.

MRI (magnetic resonance imaging)

MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) produces images by using a magnetic field to induce changes in proton rotation inside tissues.

MRI of the head

Visualization with MRI depends on the rearrangement of the nuclei of hydrogen atoms (protons charged positively) in tissues under the action of a short electromagnetic pulse.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the kidneys

The most common indication for MRI of kidneys is the diagnosis and staging of tumors. Nevertheless, CT for the same purpose is prescribed much more often.

Diffusion-weighted MRI

Diffusion is the main physical process that occurs during metabolic reactions of the cell. The first diffusion-weighted MP image was built in 1985. In clinical practice, diffusion MRI came with the MRI scanners of the generation III. To obtain diffusion-weighted tomograms, echoplane pulse sequences "spin echo" EPI with two diffusion gradients of the same amplitude and duration are used.
