Nutritional disorders are pathological conditions that develop as a result of insufficient or excessive intake and/or absorption of nutrients. Nutritional disorders are characterized by disturbances in physical development, metabolism, immunity, and the morphofunctional state of internal organs and body systems.

According to ICD-10, the following headings are included in the group of eating disorders.

  • E40-46 - protein-energy malnutrition (hypotrophy).
  • E50-64 - other nutritional deficiencies (vitamin and microelement deficiencies).
  • E65-68 - obesity and other types of overnutrition.
