Nutritional disorders are pathological conditions that result from inadequate or excessive intake and / or absorption of nutrients. Disturbances in nutrition are characterized by a violation of physical development, metabolism, immunity, morphofunctional state of internal organs and body systems.
According to ICD-10, the following headings are included in the nutrition disorders group.
- E40-46 - protein-energy deficiency (hypotrophy).
- E50-64 - other malnutrition (insufficiency of vitamins and trace elements).
- E65-68 - obesity and other types of redundancy.
