Causes of itching dermatitis
Factors that affect the development of the disease lie in the presence of genetic problems of the body. Lead to dermatitis can both acquired and provoked factors.
So, distant reasons. They are mainly related to the genetic predisposition of a person. Why this is happening, is still not known. But the disease is progressing, so in children, dermatitis occurs in almost 30-50% of cases, of course, if the parents have this disease. However, people with atopic form, in almost 70% of cases, acquired it without participation in this process of parents. I mean, they did not have any allergies.
Proof has only acquired type of allergy. It can arise because of weak immunity, the presence of unfavorable surrounding factors. These may include emotional anxiety, problems with physical health, as well as unfavorable living conditions.
There are so-called close reasons. These include adverse factors in which the body begins to develop inflammation of the skin. It can cause ordinary stress. It is a protective-adaptive reaction of the body. It is characterized by the release of energy under the influence of hormones. This leads to the development of the problem.
Persons who are constantly exposed to adverse factors suffer from this inflammation. Lead to it is capable of excessive exposure to the sun, too high or low temperature, as well as allergens that a person is in contact with.
There are also optional factors. They include some allergens. It can be animals, food, medicines, cosmetics and even insect bites. Therefore, in order to choose a good treatment, you need to determine the exact cause of skin allergy.
Pathogenesis
The development of this skin allergic reaction is hypersensitivity. As a rule, the appearance of the first signs occurs within 2 days after direct contact with the allergen. This process is started by special T - lymphocytes.
A huge role in pathogenesis is played by Langerz cells. It is they who provoke the development of the so-called barrier. In addition, cells are a powerful source of mediators. Strictly speaking, they simply provoke the inflammatory process. When an allergic reaction is triggered, the formation of a lymphoid-macrophage infiltrate begins.
As for the phase of immune alteration, it can damage the endothelium. This in turn leads to a thrombosis of the capillaries. There is a disturbance of circulation. The skin begins to lose its functionality. Contact with the allergen can lead in the future to the development of serious complications. Often dermatitis passes into the acute stage of eczema.
As soon as the allergen eliminates, the allergic reaction stops. It can happen in many ways. Low molecular substances are actively eliminated from the body through the capillaries. As for large-molecule, they are excreted through the lymph nodes.
Symptoms of itching dermatitis
All types of dermatitis are closely related to allergies and inflammations. They can flow in both acute and chronic forms. Sometimes they appear seasonally. In this case, the main emphasis is on quality treatment of the disease.
There are a number of symptoms that characterize the presence of a problem. So, most dermatitis begins to show itself with debilitating itching. Its intensity depends entirely on the allergen. Thus, with the atopic form of the disease, the itching is very strong, while it is accompanied by rashes. If contact dermatitis, the lesion site is damaged.
In addition to itching, redness also manifests itself. At the place of interaction with the allergen, blood capillary filling occurs. If there is an acute form of inflammation, then it is accompanied by a significant swelling. Sometimes the affected area begins to turn pale. Many people confuse redness with a hemorrhage under the skin. These are completely different things. Hemorrhage is a separate pathology.
Often there is a strong eruption. Its main place of localization is the site, which contacts with the allergen. Usually the rash affects the inguinal area, elbows and face.
Exudation. Characterized by severe inflammation, which are accompanied by abundant detachable particles. If the flow is severe, cracks appear on the skin. A person can comb the affected area to the blood. Peeling of skin. This is due to excessive dryness. This is usually affected by the degradation and poor work of the sebaceous glands.
First signs
In principle, the symptoms are the same everywhere. The person notices a slight reddening and often confuses it with usual irritation. Without making any attempts to get rid of him, he gives the problem to develop further. Then there is an itch, accompanied by severe burning, often there is pain.
If a person does not pay attention to this, the disease begins to progress. So, small bubbles appear, which subsequently begin to burst. And it's not necessary for them to somehow influence that it happens. As a result, wet wounds appear. Than it is fraught? Henceforth, any infection is able to penetrate them through the body. Sometimes necrosis develops, scars are formed. Therefore, it is important to identify the first signs.
It is not so difficult to do this. Pay attention to the peeling of the scalp, the presence of spots on the skin. You can not lose sight of coin-shaped papules, the size of which reaches 2 centimeters. Itching, redness and deterioration of the hair are also the main signs of the development of the disease.
Acute itching dermatitis
This form of the disease occurs practically, as does eczema. Therefore, many experts believe that eczema and dermatitis are synonymous with each other. In any case, it is accompanied by all the severe itching, which can lead to complications. If a person does not control himself, it is possible to comb the affected area to the blood.
There is a strong eruption. If the phase of inflammation is acute, then the skin becomes red together. The intensity of the color can be varied. It's quite easy to notice the problem. Often develop bubbles that have a property to burst. Therefore, the surface becomes wet.
Once the bubbles are opened, they begin to dry. As a consequence, serous crusts form. As a result, skin peeling begins, perhaps this is the last stage. If a person suffers from a chronic form of ailment, then the shade of the skin can be varied. Moreover, it feels rough and hard to the touch. Nails are also able to change, sharply thicken or thinen. It is important to determine the allergen in time and to eliminate contact with it.
Subacute itching dermatitis
Perhaps, this is one of the most unpleasant tendencies of the disease. A man is constantly tormented by a terrible itch, everything itches, and relief does not come. The skin is over-dried, so it's not very pleasant to scratch them constantly. Yes, and this action leads to severe inflammation. This is really a difficult situation.
Most often, such a course is due to the hereditary cause of the disease. In general, everything develops against the background of the existing rash on the skin, asthma, and even pollinosis. If you start to monitor the course of an allergic reaction from the very childhood, the symptoms can be relaxed. This will allow a person to feel more comfortable. Exacerbations can occur during puberty. The person feels bad, symptomatology strengthened.
If the problem has appeared in an adult, it is not easy to determine the allergen. Usually this issue is handled by highly qualified specialists. If during the attacks of itching, a person will be nervous, the symptomatology becomes worse, the disease begins to actively progress. Therefore, the experience will have to be left aside, otherwise the discomfort will be complete. Naturally, we need to resort to quality treatment.
Chronic itchy dermatitis
This kind of dermatitis can occur at any age. Naturally, getting rid of it is impossible, because it carries a chronic form of leakage. Symptomatology will periodically make itself felt, but it is tolerable. True, it is worth noting the fact that this form is divided into two more types, active and passive.
When the progression of the disease begins, a person has a hard time. First there is a slight reddening, outwardly it looks like an irritation. A person does not have time to understand immediately that he has dermatitis. Then the redness gets small bubbles with liquid. They start to itch. Naturally, a person can not resist this process and combs them until the liquid comes out. As a result, wounds appear.
This type of skin allergic reaction can occur due to strong stress. It can be provoked by chemical substances. Yes, there to say, even ordinary household products and cosmetics can easily provoke inflammation. Some people do not sufficiently observe personal hygiene, for which they get dermatitis in all its glory. It can flow in different forms. Everything depends on the person himself.
Generalized itching dermatitis
This is a very serious inflammation. It can cover almost the entire surface of the skin. This leads to severe redness and flaking. It is difficult for a person to cope with the problem on his own. Every part of his body is scratched. It's unbearable.
This condition can provoke some medications. These include penicillins, isoniazides and sulfonamides. In some cases, this becomes a consequence of the existing disease. Usually dermatitis provokes its atopic form, contact, as well as psoriasis. Some lymph nodes, characterized by malignant inflammation, often lead to the development of an allergic reaction to the skin. But, unfortunately, the true reason to identify is not so simple.
The symptomatology is pronounced. The disease can develop both quickly and slowly. It is characterized by reddening of the entire surface of the skin. It becomes thick, rough and scaly. Often formed crusts. All this is accompanied by severe itching. Some people notice a temperature increase, while others are constantly experiencing a cold. All this is due to inflammation and a large loss of fluid.
Itchy dermatitis in the hands
On the hands of this disease manifests itself as well as on the other part of the body. A strong symptom is a strong court, sometimes it is an obsessive form. Sometimes it's just impossible to endure and the person involuntarily combs everything.
All this leads to the appearance of redness. Often, sores are formed. Usually, dermatitis is characterized by the appearance of a bubble on the affected area. So, during a strong combing, they burst and the liquid flows out. Thus, a person carries a danger to others, as it is able to infect them. The skin is a wet wound. After that, the bubbles dry up, forming coarse crusts. The skin is itself coarsening.
During a strong combing, a person can hurt himself. After all, the resulting wounds can easily "absorb" any infection. This will not only increase the symptoms, but also add to all the signs of acute infectious inflammation. Severe itching can affect a person's mental state. After all, sometimes it's really impossible to endure it.
Itching dermatitis on the legs
This ailment leaves behind a huge discomfort. The skin is very itchy, and for the people around this sight is not particularly pleasant. But, to treat the disease on your legs is much easier. After all, the hands are constantly engaged in some kind of work, they are constantly washed and amenable to other influences. With legs it is much easier, the truth, to use for their rinsing it is impossible even an ordinary soap.
Perhaps the most unpleasant thing is that the rash can appear on the soles of the feet. It becomes uncomfortable for a person to move around. When walking, the victim constantly feels severe discomfort. And the risk of infecting any infection increases at times. Therefore especially you do not resemble.
With dermatitis, the skin begins to dry out very much and is scaly. This process leads to the appearance of severe itching. If the bubbles develop, then the problem is even more complicated. They begin to burst and the risk of wounding subsequent infection, is incredibly large.
The problem may arise with direct contact with the allergen. In his role, cosmetics, detergents and chemicals are used. Dermatitis is able to develop even when an allergen enters the body through food. Stress is also capable of provoking it, and a strong nervous strain during the existing problem only aggravates the situation.
What's bothering you?
Consequences and complications
Simple dermatitis can not bear any consequences. Usually it runs quietly. But, if, however, the effect of the allergen was too powerful, necrosis is possible. Affected areas of the skin begin to die, this requires their removal. It is necessary not only to assiduously cure the problematics, but also to resort to the transplantation of the skin.
The consequences include penetration into the body of infections. Dangerous microorganisms begin to actively progress, due to the fact that the barrier functions of the skin are violated. In addition to infections, the presence of dermatitis can lead to the emergence of mental disorders. Because not everyone can suffer permanent itching and discomfort. This condition is fraught with the development of nervous diseases.
If a person suffers from an allergic form of dermatitis, he may have allergic reactions in the respiratory and digestive organs. Often, all ends with the development of ulcers, pyoderma and abscesses. Therefore, it is important to start troubleshooting in time.
Usually dermatitis can not lead to any serious complications. But, much depends on its current and the person himself. The disease runs on its own and does not affect any systems. But, the probability of complications is still there. So, tissue necrosis is possible. This is a serious complication requiring long-term treatment. In most cases, it is impossible to do without a skin graft.
If a person severely scratches the blisters on the skin, then they can get an infection. This will lead to a strong inflammatory process. This is due to the fact that the skin does not perform its protective functions. Disease bacteria have full access to the wound and penetrate deep into them.
Chronic dermatitis with pronounced symptoms can lead to a violation of a person's mental state. This provokes the development of nervous diseases. Finally, an allergen penetrating inside can lead to the development of ulcers and damage many systems and organs. On the one hand complications may not be, on the other hand they will be pronounced.
Diagnosis of itching dermatitis
Diagnostic methods are combined. In order to diagnose a person dermatitis will have to conduct some tests. The first thing they do is start asking the patient. He should tell the doctor how long he began to pester dermatitis, or rather, his first manifestations. It is important to know how it started, with what symptoms. Then begins a visual examination of the patient. It is important to examine his skin for inflammations and vesicles. Further, an anamnesis is planned for a possible allergen, which led to this problem.
The data of an anamnesis of a life are collected. They include the bad habits of the patient, what he does, where he works, whether the disease is present in one of the relatives. Objective examination includes examination for the presence of rashes, discoloration. After that, the patient is sent for the blood test.
Scarification tests play a huge role in the diagnosis. The most common allergens are applied to a person on the skin and are waiting for a response. For this, the skin is scratched with the help of special scarifiers. Sometimes the allergen is injected into the skin.
Analyzes with itching dermatitis
To confirm the presence of this disease, it is necessary to pass a number of tests. So, first of all, serological tests are conducted. They allow to determine the level of immunoglobulins E in serum. A sample is also made with the introduction of acetylcholine into the skin. It is necessary to apply the skin to the effects of allergens on them, and to look at the reaction.
Skin covers can also be considered for the presence of immunoglobulin A, a test is performed with iodine. It is important for the skin to interact with a possible allergen and see how it reacts to it. Pay attention to the inhibition of migration of leukocytes. An analysis is carried out for the reaction of specific rosette formation. Histological tests are also important. All this allows you to identify changes in the skin and diagnose the presence of a problem. To complete the picture, a general blood test is performed. A full list of diagnostic procedures is issued by the doctor, after communication and visual inspection of the patient.

Instrumental diagnostics
To the instrumental diagnosis in this case include scarification tests. Usually, adults spend them in the forearm area. If the procedure is required for children, then at the top of the back.
This method of diagnosis is completely painless. In order to hold it, you need to take a special needle or a lancet. Thanks to him, you can gently scratch a person, a slight violation of the integrity of the skin is mandatory. Scratches are carried out at a distance of 4-5 cm from each other. It is desirable that they bleed. The person feels slight discomfort, there is no pain.
The lesion is treated with a 70% solution of alcohol. After that, the skin is applied to the allergen. Usually it is histamine or glycerin. You can start the examination 15 minutes after application. If a person has an allergic reaction, the skin will turn red and swell considerably. Outwardly it looks like a mosquito bite. Sometimes the size is larger, the affected area is characterized by a strong reddening and even the appearance of a blister. This confirms the presence of dermatitis.
Differential diagnostics
This diagnostic method includes laboratory tests. The first thing a person must be interrogated for the presence of a certain symptomatology. Find out what he does, why his work is related, whether someone from close people has dermatitis. Then they will learn how long the symptoms have appeared, whether there was contact with a foreign object. After all, it was he who could provoke an allergic reaction.
Then the person is sent for a general blood test. Thanks to it, it is possible to identify the number of leukocytes in the blood, as well as eosinophils. The latter are a kind of leukocytes. Their main function is to develop substances that are capable of provoking an allergic reaction.
Actively examines the blood for the presence of antibodies IgE (immunoglobulins class E). They are responsible for the development of an allergic reaction. In addition, skin testing is carried out. In many cases, that is enough for the diagnosis.

It is advisable to regulate the temperature of the room, neatly handle the poisonous plants. It is necessary to completely exclude contact with possible stimuli. If the problem is serious, seek medical help.
It is important to observe the correct diet. Allergens are able to penetrate the body with food and thus affect the inflammation of the skin. If a person is constantly suffering from allergic reactions, it is worth taking special medications. This will not only bring him to life, but also prevent the complication of the problem.
Forecast
It is worth noting that the prognosis of this disease is very favorable. True, if the lesion occurred in childhood or adolescence, adapting to the presence of a problem is not so simple. And if you do not start timely elimination, it is possible to develop a chronic course.
It is characterized by a constant manifestation of severe symptoms. Especially bright is this in the period of exacerbations. Cure a chronic illness is impossible. You just need to maintain your own state. It is important to withstand a period of acute exacerbation. After a severe defeat with the introduction of infection can lead to infection. This can entail the removal of affected areas and the transplantation of new tissues. In this case, the forecast can be either favorable or not. It all depends on how the new cloth will take root.
What the prognosis will be depends on the patient himself. If he responds in time to the process of exacerbation, consult a doctor and follow his recommendations, everything will end well.
