One of the popular and at the same time effective methods of treating wheezing and hoarseness in the voice is inhalation. Inhalation with a nebulizer is allowed for patients from the age of one year.

Inhalations have a complex effect on the body:

  • Relieve coughing fits.
  • Contribute to the liquefaction and expectoration of phlegm.
  • Relieve swelling and inflammation.
  • Reduce pain and hoarseness.

As preparations for inhalations for voice hoarseness in children use herbal decoctions and infusions, physiological solution, mineral water, medicines prescribed by a doctor.

  1. Furacillin

Antiseptic and disinfectant. Exhibits pronounced activity against staphylococci, streptococci and other pathogens. Stimulates wound healing and granulation processes.

  • Indications for use: diseases of the larynx and oral cavity, pleural empyema, anaerobic infections, chronic purulent otitis media, burns.
  • Dosage and administration: externally in the form of aqueous 0.02% solution. To prepare the drug 1 tablet dissolved in 100 ml of isotonic sodium chloride solution or warm purified water. The finished liquid is cooled to room temperature and used for gargles, rinses, inhalations. The frequency of procedures and duration of treatment depend on the causes and severity of the painful condition.
  • Contraindications: hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, allergic dermatoses.

Form of release: tablets of 10 in a blister.

  1. Eufillin

A medicinal product with the active component - theophylline. It has antispasmodic properties. It relaxes bronchial muscles, reduces the resistance of blood vessels, dilates coronary vessels, lowers the pressure in the pulmonary artery system. The drug also has diuretic properties, inhibits platelet aggregation.

  • Indications for use: bronchial asthma, bronchospasm (sharp narrowing of the bronchial lumen), hypertension in the small circle of circulation, cardiac asthma, respiratory disorders of the Cheyne-Stokes type.
  • Method of administration: orally, intravenously, subcutaneously, inhaled, rectally. Dosage and duration of therapy is determined by the attending physician, individually for each patient.

To achieve a positive result, 3-4 inhalations per day. The duration of the procedure is from 5 to 15 minutes. At the same time, 30 minutes before the procedure is not recommended to consume liquids.

Inhalation for hoarseness of voice in a child with a nebulizer

Inhalation has proven to be an effective tool in the fight against sore throat and voice disorders. To facilitate the procedure, a special device - nebulizer - is used. The device turns a liquid drug into a therapeutic aerosol. There are several types of nebulizers:

  1. Compressor - allows the use of almost all medicines. By compressing air in a special chamber, they turn a liquid drug into an aerosol. They have the widest application, but are characterized by bulky and strong noise during operation.
  2. Ultrasonic - the transformation of the medicine into an aerosol is accomplished by ultrasound. But in the process of transformation of the liquid solution, ultrasound destroys part of the drug. Such nebulizers are used in hospitals, physiotherapy departments.
  3. Mesh inhalers - inhale all liquid medications but do not destroy them. Combine the advantages of ultrasonic and compressor devices.

When using a nebulizer, the drug enters the larynx, so it is not absorbed into the systemic bloodstream and is not destroyed in the liver. Bioavailability of the drug is 100%, and the risk of side effects is minimal.

The main benefits of using a nebulizer for inhalation in a child:

  • The drug content in the respiratory tract is 2 times higher than with other methods of drug administration.
  • The drug acts directly on the focus of the lesion.
  • The procedure can be performed on patients of any age, including newborns.
  • Non-invasive therapy.
  • The possibility of carrying out the procedure at home.

Inhalation is performed not earlier than one hour after a meal. It is forbidden to talk during the procedure, the patient should breathe as usual. Strongly deep breaths are dangerous hyperventilation, development of headaches and dizziness, coughing, nausea and vomiting.

If dysphonia is caused by inflammatory processes in the respiratory system, it is better to inhale through the face oil. Breathing should be even, calm, through the mouth. After the procedure, you should rinse your mouth well with boiled water.

Medications for inhalation are prescribed by a pediatrician. For procedures with nebulizer can be used such medicines:

Pulmicort for hoarseness of voice in a child

Pulmicort is a synthetic glucocorticosteroid for inhalation use. The drug is used in the therapy of bronchial asthma and affects all links of the pathological process. The active components of the drug affect glucocorticosteroid receptors, regulating the synthesis of various substances. Genes encoding the synthesis of anti-inflammatory substances and inhibiting the activity of pro-inflammatory factors are targeted.

Pulmicort by its mechanism of action is similar to glucocorticoid receptors, has low lipophilicity, which allows it to easily penetrate through the layer of mucous secretion in the bronchi. The active substances penetrate into tissues, but their metabolites are not detected in plasma, indicating high selectivity of the drug.

Pulmicort also has anti-anaphylactic properties, reduces bronchial obstruction in early and late allergic reactions.

  • Indications for use: chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchial asthma (prevention of exacerbations).

Increased excitability and nervousness, depression, clouded consciousness. Signs of systemic action of glucocorticosteroids, hypofunction of adrenal cortex, allergic reactions.
  • Contraindications: hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, patients younger than 6 months of life. With caution is prescribed in pulmonary tuberculosis (active, inactive form), liver cirrhosis, viral, bacterial or fungal respiratory diseases.
  • Overdose: in acute overdose there are no clinical symptoms. Chronic overdose is manifested by hypercorticism reactions, suppression of adrenal function, weight gain, muscle weakness, arterial hypertension and other symptoms. Treatment is carried out by gradual reduction of the dosage.

Form of release: suspension for inhalation through nebulizer 2 ml, 20 pcs. In a package. Powder for inhalation in a metered-dose inhaler for 100/200 doses.

Berodual for hoarseness of voice in a child

A drug with a pronounced bronchodilator action. Dilation of the bronchial lumen is due to the active components Berodual - ipratropium bromide and fenoterol. The drug is effective in complex bronchodilator therapy in various diseases with increased tone of bronchial muscles.

  • Indications for use: respiratory failure in obstructive bronchitis, emphysematous bronchitis, bronchopulmonary diseases with bronchospasms. It is prescribed in acute attacks of bronchial asthma and in the preparation of the respiratory tract for aerosolized administration of drugs.

Anti-inflammatory activity of the active substance fenspiride is due to inhibition of arachidonic acid metabolism. Antibronchoconstrictor effect is due to inhibition of arachidonic acid. The drug Erespal blocks α - adrenoreceptors, as their stimulation causes an increase in the production of bronchial secretion

  • Indications for use: bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis with bronchoobstruction. Rhinitis, otitis media, sinusitis, rhinopharyngitis and other diseases of the ENT organs. The drug is prescribed to reduce respiratory syndromes in acute respiratory diseases, whooping cough, measles. It is also prescribed for rhinitis of allergic origin.
