Mental health (psychiatry)

Domestic violence

Domestic violence is violence between husband and wife (or cohabitants) and, perhaps, all violence in the home with children should also be included here.

Sleepwalking (somnambulism)

Sleeping, or somnambulism, is sitting, walking or other complex behavior during sleep, usually with open eyes, but without realizing what is happening.

Reaction to stress

An acute reaction to stress, which, as a rule, is resolved within three days after an emergency, can be accompanied by the development of a psychotic disorder that is called in the domestic literature the name of reas- sive psychoses.

Violation of reading

Violation of reading, or so-called dyslexia, is a disorder that manifests itself in multiple reading errors, which does not explain vision problems or poor schooling.

Adaptation disorder

Adaptation disorder, or so-called impairment of adaptive reactions, results from significant changes in lifestyle caused by an emergency situation.

Elective Mutism

Elective mutism is a group of psychopathological disorders, the specificity of which is the inability to speak in certain social situations with the preserved ability to speak and understand speech. This selectivity of speech is emotionally conditioned, arises most often in children with anxious-hypochondriac, sensitive, schizotemic personality traits and is often accompanied by signs of subdepression.

Anxiety Depression

Recently, the term "anxious depression" psychiatrists have ceased to apply. Instead, there were two psychiatric nosological units - anxiety disorder and depression.

Manic depression

Bipolar disorder, also known as manic depression in the past, is a mental illness that causes mood swings in a patient, from depressively depressive to overly excited.

Cyclothemia

Cyclotemia is a relatively minor disorder of mood. This disease is characterized by bouts of mild depression and hypomania (a state of high spirits).

Manic state

The more you know about this disease, the more efficiently you will be able to cope with it. There are many ways with which you can recognize the manic state and deal with it faster.
