Indications for the use of creams for cracked heels
External creams and other remedies for cracked heels should be used in the following situations:
- in case of excessive dryness of the skin surface on the feet, and especially in the heel area;
- for advanced, rough, dry calluses (so-called " corns ");
- for cracks in the skin;
- for minor wounds and skin abrasions.

What are the most effective creams for cracked heels?
In fact, all of the listed creams have the expected positive effect if you follow the rules that will help you deal with the causes that caused cracks in your heels:
- avoid wearing uncomfortable shoes, especially those without a back;
- if necessary, use a special silicone pad under the heel area;
- use moisturizers, do not allow the skin of your heels to dry out;
- periodically, but not too often, exfoliate your feet;
- review your diet to ensure you are getting enough vitamins;
- establish a drinking regime: if there are no contraindications, it is advisable to drink 1.5-2 liters of water every day;
- normalize the load on the lower limbs, do not overwork them.
If you follow all the above recommendations, and also regularly use any of the above creams for cracked heels, then in 2-3 weeks the long-awaited relief and healing will come. If the situation does not normalize, then it is recommended to consult a doctor: perhaps the reasons for the crack are a skin disease or a metabolic disorder, which may require additional treatment.
