The brain sarcoma or intracerebral malignancy appears from the connective tissue of the brain and its membranes. The disease is very rare. The tumor begins to develop as a node that is localized in the skull.
Distinctive signs of brain sarcoma are sprouting into surrounding tissues, metastasis and frequent relapses. Reliable causes of this disease are unknown. Sarcomas of the brain can be both intracerebral and intracerebral. Differs tumors and by consistence - dense, decaying, loose.
- Extra-cerebral tumors have outlined nodes, gray-red or yellow. The tumor provokes the appearance of cysts, foci of necrosis and contributes to frequent hemorrhages. The growth of the tumor is infiltrative.

Treatment of brain sarcoma
Treatment of brain sarcoma is different, it all depends on the stage of the disease, the age of the patient, the presence of metastases, the size of the tumor and the overall health of the patient.
- Surgical treatment - this method is considered radical, but it helps to prevent relapse of the disease. Treatment consists in trepanation of the skull to gain access to the tumor and its excision. Surgical treatment is complemented by radiation therapy and chemotherapy, for the complete destruction of cancer cells.
- Radiation therapy is a method of treating brain sarcoma, which is used when surgical treatment is impossible. Radiation therapy is combined with chemotherapy. Irradiation consists of several sessions, the therapy acts not only on the tumor, but also on adjacent tissues, preventing relapses and metastasis. But this method of treatment causes secondary symptoms (vomiting, fatigue, nausea, vomiting).
