Bladder

The urinary bladder (vesica urinaria) is an unpaired hollow organ that functions as a reservoir for urine, which is excreted from the bladder through the urethra.

The ureter begins at the narrowed part of the renal pelvis and ends at the opening into the bladder. The function of the ureter is to drain urine from the kidney into the bladder.

Kidney

Kidney (ren, Greek nephros) is a paired excretory organ that forms and excretes urine. The kidney is bean-shaped, dark red in color, and of a dense consistency. The dimensions of the kidney in an adult are as follows: length 10-12 cm, width 5-6 cm, thickness 4 cm.
