Suitable and effective therapy can be prescribed only after a comprehensive comprehensive examination.
- Treatment is individual for each patient. The patient's age, causes and severity of pathology are taken into account. Also reactions to local drugs and systemic action are taken into account.
- Treatment should be purposeful and comprehensive. It is important to use all the directions of therapy: diet, medication, physiotherapy, sanatorium treatment and others.
Since most skin rashes are not only a local isolated process, attention is paid to both external therapy and general treatment. When choosing a medicine, one should consider its possible therapeutic effect and side reactions.
Medications
The choice of cure for red spots on the legs depends entirely on the factors that provoked them. Let's consider the basic methods of treatment of skin changes on the example of allergic reactions, since they most often cause unpleasant symptoms:
- Antihistamines are used to prevent the release of histamine and the formation of rashes. This group of drugs consists of several generations.
- The first generation - have a quick therapeutic effect and eliminate severe allergies. Cause a lot of unwanted side reactions (drowsiness, addiction, blocking, headaches). This category includes: Pipolphen, Tavegil, Dimedrol, Fenistil, Diazolinum, Suprastin.
- Preparations of the second generation - have fewer side effects and have a prolonged action. These include: Claritin, Acryvastin, Erius, Ebastin, Terfenadin, Semprex.
- The last generation of antihistamines - do not cause drowsiness, do not affect cardiovascular activity, can be used for several months. This group includes: Cetrin, Telfast, Claramax, Treksil, Levokabastin, Eslotin, Feksofenadin, Dimetenden, Xizal.
- Stabilizers of membranes of "fat" cells - reduce the excitability of cells that cause skin allergic reactions. Such drugs control the release of histamine from mast cells. The effect of such drugs develops gradually, so they are often used in conjunction with other medicines. The main drugs of this pharmacotherapeutic group: Intal, Kromolin, Ketotifen, Nedocromil sodium.
- Immunomodulators - are prescribed for private and prolonged manifestations of allergies. They prevent serious complications of the disease. To effective immunostimulants include: Timolin, Imunofan, Viferon, Derinat.
- Corticosteroids are medicines containing hormones of the adrenal cortex (glucocorticoids and mineralocorticoids). This group includes: Celeston, Kenalog, Medrol, Urbazon, Laticort.
Consider in more detail the drugs that are most often prescribed to eliminate dermatological problems of an allergic origin:

Vitamins
Skin is the largest and most complex organ. Vitamins for maintaining her beauty and health are difficult to separate into a separate group. This is due to the fact that at different sites and at different depths, the dermis has a different structure and properties.
Consider the main complex of vitamins, the deficit of which can provoke beriberi and other diseases that are manifested by changes in the skin of the legs and other parts of the body:
- A - retinol is necessary for rapid regeneration and recovery of epithelial tissues. Regular use of this substance contributes to the disappearance of pigment spots, which are particularly noticeable in old age.
- Group B - improve metabolic processes in the body, accelerate the transport of nutrients to the skin and remove the products of the vital activity of cells from it. Deficiency of this group of vitamins is manifested by frequent dermatitis, irritation, itching, desquamation.
- D - protects the body from various dermatological diseases. It is used in the treatment of psoriasis.
- C, E and P - have antioxidant properties, protect the body from free radicals and other harmful substances, slow the aging process. With their lack of epidermis becomes dry, wrinkled, often cracked.
- Vitamin H - takes part in the synthesis of fats and carbohydrates. Promotes the formation of collagen. Deficiency of this vitamin leads to increased dryness, private eczema, dermatitis and even ulcerative lesions of tissues.
- PP - protects the body from such a dangerous disease as pellagra. The pathological state is manifested by a triad of symptoms: dermatitis, diarrhea and dementia. On the skin erupting corrosive ulcers, cracks, inflammation. There is also an increased muscle weakness.
Vitaminotherapy is carried out in conjunction with medications and other medicines. Very often, patients are prescribed intramuscular injections of vitamin B1 and B12.
Physiotherapeutic treatment
To accelerate the regeneration of the skin, improve the local immunity, reduce itching and flaking, shown physiotherapy. With its help, the endocrine and immune systems are corrected, the inflammatory processes are stopped, and the permeability of the vascular walls is reduced.
Physiotherapy facilitates the patient's condition, stimulates the repair process, has a tonic effect and increases the production of endogenous collagen. To reduce inflammatory reactions, remove mediators of inflammation, reduce irritation of skin receptors and improve local blood supply, use such techniques:
- Darsonvalization
- Paraffin Wraps
- Cryotherapy
- Galvanization
- Ultrasound therapy
- Magnetotherapy
- Electrophoresis with medicinal products (antihistamines)
- Ultraviolet irradiation of the affected area
- Hypobaric hypoxic therapy
- Laser therapy
Expressed medical properties are physiotherapy with baths. Foamy water procedures normalize the psycho-emotional state of the patient, relieve itching, burning and flaking, soften the skin.
- Radon baths - have sedative and analgesic properties. Stimulate the processes of tissue regeneration, improve trophic and adrenal work.
- Tar tar baths - promote the activation of microcirculation of blood in the lesions.
- Sulfide baths - have analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect.
- Alkaline baths - soften the skin, eliminate dryness. Most often, they are prescribed for psoriasis.
Despite all the useful properties, physiotherapy has a number of contraindications to the conduct of:
- Impact neoplasms
- Acute course of diseases
- Severe patient condition
- Febrile state
- Cutaneous porphyria
- Mental disorders
- Systemic lupus erythematosus
- Bullous dermatosis
The choice of the method of physiotherapeutic treatment depends on many factors. In most cases, patients are prescribed several procedures, both local and general effects on the body.
Alternative treatment
For the treatment of skin diseases not only classical medical techniques are used, but also more non-traditional methods. Alternative treatment refers to the latter. Consider effective alternative recipes for removing red spots on the legs and other parts of the body caused by different causes:
- If the rashes are provoked by depriving or eczema, then lemons are used for treatment. On the first day you need to drink juice from five lemons (divide by several meals), on the second day - from ten, on the third - from fifteen and so to 25. Then, carry out the procedure in reverse order, until it reaches five citrus fruits per day.
- To eliminate the rashes caused by psoriasis, we deprive or fungus the garlic compress will do. Boil until cooked a couple of garlic heads and rub them until smooth, with an equal amount of honey. Distribute the product on a bandage and attach to the skin, carefully fixing wax paper and bandage. In the morning, wash the body with a mild soap solution and repeat the procedure. Treatment lasts until complete restoration of the skin.
- With eczema, take nutmeg, ginger and kalgan. Put all ingredients in a bottle, pour alcohol and put in a dark warm place for 2-3 days. Ready tincture should be used for rubbing the skin.
- To eliminate red dry lichen, it is necessary to treat the rashes with hot water 2-3 times a day for 3-5 minutes. After three days, there should be a noticeable improvement, and after 14 days the disease will be completely gone.
- If the appearance of spots on the skin is associated with avitaminosis, then the calyx tincture will help to improve immunity. Take 300 g of calendula berries and pour them 500 ml of boiling water. The agent should be infused for 7-10 hours. Infusion take ¼ cup 2-3 times a day.
Before using the above-described recipes, you should consult your doctor.
Herbal Treatment
Another option of alternative medicine is the treatment with herbs. With dermatological problems, such recipes are most effective:
- With a pronounced inflammatory process, an infusion of oak bark is suitable. Pour a couple of spoons of dry raw material with a glass of boiling water and let it brew until it cools. Strain and use for lotions on the lesions.
- To accelerate the healing of wet rashes and red rash with crusts, the oil of St. John's wort is recommended. Spread a tablespoon of washed and dried St. John's wort flowers with a glass of vegetable oil. The product should be infused for 14 days, while it should be shaken periodically. The oil is used for compresses and wound treatment.
- To combat lichen, eczema and rashes, caused by hormonal disorders, the juice of the Kalina is excellent. 100 g of viburnum fruits thoroughly chop, and pour boiling water (1 spoon of a plant on a glass of water). The product should be infused for 4-6 hours, after which it can be drunk for ½ cup 3-4 times a day.
- To treat eczema, scaly lichen, ulcerous lupus erythematosus and other skin diseases, you should use sea buckthorn oil or ointment. The product can be purchased at the pharmacy. The medicine quickly resolves infiltrates, reduces pain, burning and swelling. Eliminates peeling and accelerates tissue repair.
- Infusion of blueberry leaves has antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and astringent properties. 10 grams of raw material pour a glass of boiling water and strain after 30-40 minutes. Use for external treatment of rashes.
The above herbal recipes can cause an allergic reaction, so before using them, consult a dermatologist.
Homeopathy
Quite a controversial alternative method of treating dermatological and many other diseases is homeopathy. With red spots on the legs, patients are most often prescribed such drugs:
- Sulfuris, Arsenicum album - rashes are symmetrical, accompanied by intense itching.
- Causticum - skin changes are hot and pulsating, body temperature is increased.
- Silicea, Petroleum, Natrium carbonicum - eczematous eruptions, a rash caused by stress and emotional distress.
- Sulfur jod, Hepar sulfuris - accelerate the processes of regeneration and restoration of skin.
Any medicines, including homeopathic ones, can be used only for medical purposes with individual selection of dosage and duration of therapy.
Surgery
Surgery intervention with red spots on the legs is extremely rare. Surgical treatment is possible in such cases:
- If the rash appears very often and is associated with acute allergic reactions, then for treatment, gravitational surgery (extracorporeal hemocorrection) can be prescribed. This method is aimed at correcting the blood composition. From the patient's blood, factors that provoke pathological reactions are removed. After the procedure, the blood is saturated with useful substances, and, if necessary, with medicinal components. Even after the first procedure, rashes and other symptoms go away. To obtain a stable result, 5-10 procedures are necessary.
- Surgical treatment is necessary for varicose veins. To restore normal circulation, both traditional methods with a skin cut along the varicose vein and minimally invasive methods are used. Most often, patients are prescribed: stripping, laser coagulation, microflebectomy or phlebectomy. After the operation, the patient's condition is normalized, the pathological symptoms go away.
- Surgical intervention is indicated for malignant neoplasms on the limbs. Radiation therapy may be prescribed for the destruction of cancer cells in combination with chemotherapy.
- If the changes on the legs turned out to be hemangiomas, then for their removal the excision method, laser destruction, liquid nitrogen removal, electrocoagulation and other surgical methods are used.
- Surgical treatment is also possible with red flat lichen, when the rash expands to a state of plaques with a pronounced cosmetic defect. To remove them use minimally invasive bloodless methods: radio wave or laser removal, cryodestruction.
The decision on the need for surgical treatment is made by the doctor, evaluating all the risks of the selected operation, possible complications and therapeutic effect.
