Treatment of the hematoma can be different depending on the type of hemorrhage, the site of localization, clinical signs and concomitant symptoms.
With intracranial hematomas, treatment is performed only under the supervision of a doctor. Also, an urgent request to the doctor is required if the hematoma is large, progresses, swells, causes intense pain, and is accompanied by an increase in body temperature. The danger with such symptoms lies in the threat of infection of tissues and the development of a purulent process. If necessary, the treatment of such hematomas is carried out surgically.
Conservative ways to get rid of hematomas in the absence of the above unfavorable symptoms are the treatment of the damaged area with cold (for example, attaching to the place of formation of the hematoma of ice for some time), as well as absorbable ointments and gels. The choice of ointments and gels to eliminate hematomas is large enough, you can find such funds in any pharmacy (Dolobien, lyoton, rescuer, troxevasin, etc.).

In the first day after the formation of the hematoma, it is necessary to apply ice or another cold object to it. This will reduce pain and speed up the process of its resorption. Repeat this procedure three times a day for about twenty minutes.
In the first few days after the onset of a hematoma, heat procedures should be avoided, and a hot bath should not be taken. To reduce swelling in the place of formation of a hematoma, a tight bandage can be applied.

Brain hematoma treatment
Treatment of brain hematoma depends on the size of the education, the degree of manifestation of the accompanying symptoms, the results of magnetic resonance imaging or computed tomography, and the overall well-being of the patient.
With small hematomas, surgical intervention may not be required, the patient is prescribed only diuretics and corticosteroid preparations under the further supervision of the doctor with the purpose of timely detection of an unfavorable course of the disease.
When performing a surgical procedure, it is possible to pump out the contents of the hematoma, in cases where the blood does not coagulate and accumulate in one place.

Timely diagnosis and treatment of brain hematomas prevent the further development of negative consequences, such as damage to the nervous system and brain functions.
Treatment of subcutaneous hematoma
Treatment of a subcutaneous hematoma of a light form consists in treating the affected area with a cold, for example, ice cubes, immediately after receiving an injury. As a rule, such hematomas are not dangerous and dissolve on their own for several days. Treatment of subcutaneous hematoma of moderate severity first of all requires the imposition of a tight bandage on the damaged area. Subsequently, hematoma can be treated with resorptive creams and ointments - ointment with a sponge, arnica, Dolobene-gel, lyoton-gel, indovazin, etc.
Symptoms such as extensive hematoma, swelling and severe pain can lead to more serious consequences and require urgent medical attention.
Treatment of subungual hematoma

When carrying out the drainage of the hematoma, the patient is injected with an anesthetic, after which blood is pumped out of it.
Intensive pain in the formation of subungual hematoma may indicate a fracture of the bone or other serious injuries that require immediate assistance from the surgeon.
Treatment of chronic hematoma
The aged hematoma, like the newly formed hematoma, can lead to tissue infection and the formation of a purulent process, so to treat the development of complications, treatment of chronic hematoma should be performed under the supervision of a doctor. Depending on the location of the hematoma, the duration of such a procedure should be fifteen to twenty minutes with a short break, after which the procedure should be repeated again. The imposition of cold on the place of formation of the hematoma prevents the expansion of blood vessels and the further spread of the hematoma. Damaged tissues using leeches, due to improved microcirculation, recover faster and easier. During the first 24 hours after the beginning of treatment, pain sensations are neutralized, the leech saliva gets into the affected tissues, makes the blood liquefier and prevents its coagulation and formation of clots in the area of the hematoma, which greatly accelerates the resorption process.
Treatment of hematoma by alternative means
Treatment of hematoma by alternative means can be carried out at home with a small size of education and the absence of severe pain syndrome and puffiness. For this purpose, you can use honey, cabbage leaves or burdock, potato starch, wormwood, bodjag, onion or peel of banana.
