The criterion of severity is the severity of the intoxication syndrome, the duration of the disease and the presence of complications.
Atypical mononuclear cells in the blood require specific treatment. For therapy, glucocorticosteroids and vitamin complexes are used. Antibiotics are not used, because they do not affect the virus.
