Normal urine is clear with a light yellow tint, without any impurities. If white discharge appeared in the urine , then this is one of the signs of a pathological process. Whitish inclusions may be slimy or resemble flakes. Often their appearance is associated with an increased content of protein in the liquid.
Possible pathological causes of white discharge in the urine in men include:
- Inflammatory processes in the body.
- Inflammation of the bladder.
- Inflammation of the urethra.
- Fungal infections.
- Urolithiasis disease.
- Renal amyloidosis.
- Inflammation of the prostate.
Etiological factors of an unpleasant condition are also distinguished. First of all, this is the use of a large amount of protein products, hygiene violations, the use of low-quality intimate cosmetics.
If white discharge is associated with an increase in protein levels, then this may indicate the development of such diseases:
- Balanoposthitis is an inflammation that causes burning and pain in the foreskin and head of the penis, swelling and redness of the tissues. Cracks, sores and other violations of the integrity of the skin may appear on the head of the organ. The disease develops due to staphylococcal, streptococcal infections, yeast-like fungi. Also, possible causes include anemia, beriberi, allergic reactions, endocrine pathologies. [1]
- Prostatitis is one of the common causes of white impurities in the urine. It develops due to a sedentary lifestyle, overweight, bacterial infections, injuries of the pelvic organs, hypothermia. The disease proceeds with elevated body temperature, frequent urination and pain in the groin area. [2]
- Urethritis - in this case, white inclusions in the urine are caused by an inflammatory process in the urethra. A man complains of pain in the pubic area, discomfort during urination, sticking of the urethra. The disease develops due to injuries, hypothermia, genital infections, viruses, various pathogens (mycoplasmas, Trichomonas, chlamydia). Urethral inflammation can be caused by frequent stress, beriberi, unbalanced diet, alcohol abuse. [3]
- Urolithiasis - in this case, in addition to white impurities in the urine, streaks of blood may appear. Pathology is manifested by frequent urge to urinate, bouts of nausea and vomiting, back pain, renal colic, increased sweating, and stool disorders. [4]
- Pyelonephritis is an inflammation of the kidneys of an infectious nature. It develops due to the penetration of bacterial pathogenic microflora, structural anomalies of the urinary system, endocrine diseases, spinal cord injuries, prostatitis. In addition to the appearance of white flakes in the urine, the disease causes fever, general weakness, bouts of nausea and vomiting. [5]
To determine the cause of the disease state, you should contact a urologist, nephrologist, surgeon, infectious disease specialist. After collecting an anamnesis and examining the patient, various tests will be prescribed. First of all, this is a smear for microscopy, urine and blood tests, biochemical blood tests, ultrasound of the abdominal organs, MRI / CT of the genitourinary system.
The duration and complexity of treatment depends on the results of the examinations. At the same time, the earlier the diagnosis is made and the cause of the disorder is established, the more successful the therapy is.
