One of the most common pathologies today is a frontal sinus cyst. It is formed for various reasons. It is often formed as a result of obstruction or blockage of the nasal cavity. Mucus continues to be synthesized by epithelial cells, but its removal is difficult. Gradually, a spherical structure is formed, which continues to increase in size, gradually turning into a cyst.
In the treatment of patients with a cyst of the frontal sinus, three main stages are distinguished: treatment of the patient during the period of exacerbation, anti-relapse treatment during the period of remission, and also hardening of the body. When prescribing antibacterial therapy, the sensitivity of the microflora should be taken into account and at the same time drugs should be prescribed to prevent fungal diseases.
In parallel, symptomatic treatment is carried out, aimed at identifying the main symptoms of the frontal sinus cyst. Thus, in case of severe pain, pain-relieving treatment is carried out, prescribing analgesics, painkillers. In case of severe inflammation, anti-inflammatory drugs are prescribed, in case of signs of allergy and increased sensitization of the body - antihistamines and antiallergic drugs. If spasms occur, anticonvulsants, muscle relaxants, sedatives, and tranquilizers are prescribed.
Medicines
Before starting treatment, you need to consult a doctor, since any remedy can have a number of contraindications, side effects. Often, self-medication leads to the situation not only not getting better, but also getting worse. The greatest risk is the risk of malignant degeneration of the cyst.
Since antibiotics are often prescribed for various neoplasms, precautions must be taken: to avoid the development of microflora resistance to them, you must complete the course of treatment in full, do not quit, even if the symptoms of the disease have already disappeared. Also, in no case should you use a lower dosage - the risk of relapse and malignant degeneration increases. If the dosage is exceeded, there is a risk of overdose.
Synthetic antibiotics include oxacillin - 0.5-1.0 g every 4 hours before meals, methicillin - 0.5-1 g every 4-6 hours intramuscularly. Fusidin - 0.5 g three times a day for 6 days, dicloxacillin - 0.5 g 3 times a day for 7-10 days, erythromycin - 0.25 g 4 times a day. If there is no effect 2-4 days after prescribing some antibiotics, they must be replaced with others. Good results are obtained by administering antibiotics directly into the frontal sinus by inhalation or a thin catheter.
Vitamins
Treatment requires the administration of vitamin C, as it has antioxidant properties and is a powerful tool in the fight against free radicals. Accordingly, the body and blood are cleansed, the risk of cancerous degeneration of the tumor is reduced. The vitamin stimulates the immune system, normalizes metabolic processes in the body, as a result of which the body's resistance, its ability to resist infectious and inflammatory diseases, and restrain the development of tumors are significantly increased.
The optimal dosage is 1000 mg per day. It is better to exclude other vitamins, since they act as a nutrient medium for microorganisms, which leads to increased activity and progression of the inflammatory and infectious process.
Physiotherapy treatment
Physiotherapeutic methods of treatment include warming up, inhalation, warming up with light of different wavelengths. Ultraviolet rays and infrared light work well. If necessary, laser treatment is used. Hardening and therapeutic exercise also have a positive effect on the body. You can do nasal lavage at home.
Folk remedies
You can try an ointment with a unique composition, which will promote the resorption of neoplasms, scarring of damaged tissues, stopping further progression of diseases. The ointment has a warming effect, as a result of which blood circulation and lymph circulation improve, the inflammatory process decreases, swelling and congestion disappear. It is good to use such an ointment for purulent and exudative diseases, it prevents blockage of blood vessels and ducts, liquefies accumulated exudate.
It is quite easy to prepare the ointment: take about 100 grams of baked milk and the same amount of butter. First, melt the butter over low heat, stirring constantly, then slowly pour in the milk. Bring to a boil. Add 10 grams of resin, about 5-6 medium pine cones, 3-4 tablespoons of pine needles. Boil for about 10 minutes, then strain it all. Cool the resulting liquid, then place it in the refrigerator until it hardens completely. When the product hardens, take it in small pieces and lubricate either the nasal passages or the frontal sinuses.
You can also make nasal drops. To make them, take olive oil (about 50 ml). Add a tablespoon of almond oil and a teaspoon of coconut oil. Mix thoroughly, add 2-3 tablespoons of peppermint and the same amount of eucalyptus, boil until boiling. As soon as the oil boils, you can remove it. Separately squeeze out the juice of one large aloe leaf. After the oil has cooled, pour aloe juice over it and mix thoroughly again. This will give you the opportunity to acquire all the necessary properties for the resorption of neoplasms and the elimination of inflammatory processes. Drip a full pipette into each nostril, at least 3 times a day.
Sea buckthorn oil has good wound healing and regenerating properties. Drops are recommended for use after inflammatory processes with the formation of scar tissue, as well as after operations or any other invasive interventions. To prepare the drops, you need to take sea buckthorn oil as a base. You will need about 50 ml. It can be purchased at the pharmacy in ready-made form, or squeezed from fresh berries. Heat the oil over a fire, without bringing it to a boil, add 2-3 anise leaves, 5-6 cloves. Bring to a boil, remove and cover with a lid. Let the product brew for 2-3 hours, after which you can drip a whole pipette into the nose. First 4 times a day, then you can reduce the frequency a little. At night, you can lubricate the frontal sinus area with warmed oil, rub it with light massaging movements.

Herbal treatment
Various herbs are used in treatment. Chamomile has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. It can be used in various forms. Most often it is used in the form of a decoction, which is recommended to be prepared for every day and drunk fresh. Chamomile can be drunk as tea: brewed in a teapot instead of tea, and drunk during the day, and also added to tea leaves, to a cup as a flavoring additive.
You can make a chamomile tincture. To do this, fill about a third of a flask or bottle with vodka or alcohol (fill to the top). And let it brew for a week. The tincture should change its color - this is the best sign that all the healing power from the plant has passed into the tincture. The tincture can also be used in a variety of ways: for internal use (1-2 tablespoons several times a day). It can also be used for rubbing, as a warming agent under a compress, as a lotion on the frontal sinus area. Many add this remedy to tea, or directly to chamomile decoction. It can also be consumed mixed with honey, as a result of which the healing properties of chamomile only increase.
Common nettle has proven itself well. All parts of its organism can be used. Thus, the leaves are ideal as a flavoring and aromatic additive to tea. You can use a decoction of nettle leaves and stems. The roots are used to prepare decoctions and infusions for external use. Flowers can be boiled and used as an ointment or mass for application to the affected areas. Many mix it with baby cream and apply to the frontal sinuses. And mixed with sunflower or any other oil, you can lubricate the nasal passages.
You can use stevia - this is a wonderful remedy that not only fights the symptoms of a specific disease, but also has a systemic effect on the body. It stimulates the immune system, as a result of which the body independently overcomes various diseases, including tumors. If the cyst is small, then with long-term treatment, it can self-liquidate.
Stevia is most often used in the form of a decoction. You will need 2-3 tablespoons of the herb per cup. Pour boiling water over it and leave it for an hour. After the decoction has cooled, strain it through cheesecloth. Do not throw away the mass remaining on the cheesecloth, as this is another valuable remedy that can be used for external use. Mix the mass with honey, stir until a homogeneous state is formed, after which you can wrap it and place it on the frontal sinus area. In this case, you should lie down, relax as much as possible, lie down for at least 15 minutes. After removing the compress, you can rinse the skin with warm water or a small amount of decoction. It is also recommended to freeze a small amount of decoction in molds. After removing the compress, it is better to rinse the skin with an ice cube made from stevia.
Homeopathy
Homeopathic treatment is not inferior in scientificity to allopathic treatment, if only because even allopaths do not always recognize the effectiveness of the therapy they conduct. Treatment with homeopathic remedies is a powerful therapeutic effect that can cure not only minor ailments, but also serious diseases, even tumors. This is its advantage and disadvantage. The slightest inaccuracy, error in dosage or method of application can lead to serious consequences, which are often completely unpredictable, sometimes irreversible. This places a number of demands on us: be attentive, careful, observe precautions, always consult a doctor.
To eliminate cysts and other similar neoplasms, a homeopathic ointment prepared on the basis of badger fat is recommended. It quickly dissolves any seals, eliminates swelling, redness. To prepare the ointment, it is recommended to take a tablespoon of flour, 2 tablespoons of honey, mix thoroughly, beat in an egg. Bring to a uniform consistency, after which it can be applied to the area of the nasal sinuses and frontal lobes. Can be used to lubricate the nasal cavity.
A nutritional product that will help boost immunity and normalize metabolic processes is recommended. As a result, the body will move to a level of self-regulation, which will allow you to easily and effectively overcome any disease on your own. To prepare the nutritional mixture, it is recommended to take 2-3 medium-sized persimmons, mash them to a puree state, add one fig cut into small cubes or crushed with a fork. After that, mix thoroughly and pour pomegranate juice on top. Take 3-4 tablespoons per day. You can wash it down with any fermented milk product, for example, kefir.
The restorative elixir is recommended to be taken in preparation for cyst removal surgery, as well as in the postoperative recovery period. As a base, take pomegranate juice (about 500 ml), add 100 ml of rosehip syrup to it. Mix thoroughly, put in the previously prepared puree viburnum. To do this, grind the viburnum with a fork until a homogeneous mass is formed, add honey to it. Mix, and place all this in mixed juices. Drink a third of a glass at a time, but not more than a glass per day.
The nutritious vitamin mixture is also used in the postoperative period, with lethargy, drowsiness, nosebleeds. Take an eggshell, cut it so that it resembles a bowl. Pour out the egg, leaving only the yellow part. Carefully knead it together with ground ginger and cinnamon until a homogeneous mass is formed. On top, add the previously prepared sea buckthorn, mashed with a fork until a homogeneous mass is formed. Stir in the shell, add 2 ml of fish oil, stir again and cover with the second half of the egg. It is better to prepare a fresh remedy for each dose. It is allowed to store in the refrigerator for no more than 24 hours.
Surgical treatment
If conservative therapy is ineffective, surgical methods of treatment are used. Either a conventional open operation or endoscopic removal of the cyst is used. Before the operation, a consultation with a surgeon and anesthesiologist is scheduled, a control X-ray is taken, and a full list of laboratory tests is prescribed.
Frontal sinus cyst removal
Many clinics use open surgery, in which the frontal sinus is cut using standard surgical instruments, the cyst is removed, and the wound surface is sutured. This method allows for quick removal of the cyst and does not require specific equipment. However, it is not without its drawbacks. The postoperative period is long, since the wound surface is quite large. There is a high risk of postoperative complications, in particular, the development of infection and inflammation. Recovery is slow and quite painful, often requiring the use of strong painkillers.
Endoscopic removal of frontal sinus cyst
This method is used in many modern clinics. Special equipment, an endoscope, is used to perform the operation. With its help, several small incisions are made in the frontal sinus. An endoscope with a video camera is inserted into it, which allows you to examine the cavity, examine the cyst itself, determine the nature of the pathology and develop further tactics for the surgical operation. The image can be displayed on the screen, which significantly facilitates the work of specialists. With the help of a second endoscope, surgical instruments are inserted through the hole, which make it possible to perform the operation with minimal consequences.
This eliminates the risk of damaging adjacent tissues, and the operation is performed with maximum precision, aimed directly at removing the cyst. The risk of infection, postoperative complications and the development of an inflammatory process is reduced to a minimum. The wound surface heals fairly quickly, since the frontal sinus is not cut completely. The recovery period is short: after a few days, the patient can be discharged home. In addition, there are practically no scars left after the operation, since the incisions are sometimes not even stitched, but simply sealed with adhesive tape.
