In folk medicine, there are quite a few methods for treating inflammatory processes in female genital organs. Treatment of adnexitis with folk remedies helps to enhance the effect of the main therapy and speed up the recovery process.
However, before using any remedy, you should consult a doctor, as some herbs can reduce or, conversely, enhance the therapeutic effect of drugs.
Nowadays, steam baths with white deadnettle are considered the most effective. To prepare a decoction, pour 2-3 tablespoons of the herb with 2 liters of boiling water and simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes. The resulting decoction is filtered and poured into a container convenient for sitting (a bathtub, a basin, etc.). You need to take such a bath until the decoction cools down.
Vishnevsky ointment for adnexitis
Vishnevsky ointment is used in the complex treatment of inflammation of the appendages. Tampons with ointment can be used independently only as a preventive measure for frequent inflammatory processes in the appendages.
If the treatment for adnexitis prescribed by your doctor involves inserting tampons with Vishnevsky ointment into the vagina, you need to know how to insert tampons correctly.
It is better to use homemade tampons rather than store-bought ones. Ready-made tampons have a high absorbent capacity, which significantly reduces the effectiveness of the treatment. For homemade tampons, you will need a small piece of cotton wool and a bandage, from which you make a round tampon (it is necessary to leave a tail for easier removal). The tampon is soaked in a small amount of ointment and inserted deep into the vagina overnight. Treatment usually lasts about two weeks. The therapeutic effect of tampons does not appear immediately, but closer to the end of treatment.
If during treatment you experience any unpleasant sensations in the vagina (burning), you should stop using tampons and consult a doctor, as the ointment may have caused an allergy.
Propolis for adnexitis
Propolis (or bee glue) slows down the reproduction and destroys some types of bacteria, is destructive to fungi, relieves pain, reduces inflammation, heals, and improves immunity.
Treatment of adnexitis and many other gynecological diseases is effective as an adjuvant therapy, in combination with traditional antibacterial therapy. Tampons with propolis and sea buckthorn oil or honey (1:1), which should be placed at night for 7-14 days, are effective for inflammation of the appendages.
Massage for adnexitis
In gynecology, massage has a good therapeutic effect, especially in combination with physiotherapy procedures. Gynecological massage is recommended for long-term inflammation of the appendages to prevent the formation of adhesions.
Leeches for adnexitis
Treatment of adnexitis with leeches shows good results, both in chronic and acute inflammation of the appendages. A special medical leech releases more than thirty active substances into the human bloodstream, which have antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and other effects. After hirudotherapy, relapses are practically excluded. Already after the first sessions, the woman feels relief, pain decreases, temperature decreases, etc.
Treatment of adnexitis with herbs
In folk medicine, herbs are often used to prepare infusions and decoctions that have anti-inflammatory, healing, analgesic, and antimicrobial effects. Chamomile, celandine, nettle, oak bark, etc. have such properties.
Treatment of adnexitis by douching with a celandine solution (1 tablespoon per glass of boiling water) shows good results. When using celandine, it is important to strictly observe the proportions, since the plant has a toxic effect.
A calendula bath (1 pack of flowers per 3 liters of water, boil for 10 minutes) also helps to relieve inflammation. It is best to do the bath before going to bed.
Treatment of adnexitis with orthilia secunda
In folk medicine, adnexitis is effectively treated with red brush and orthilia secunda. The tincture is prepared from equal amounts of herbs (25 g each) and vodka (0.5 l). The mixture is infused in a dark place for two weeks, shaking from time to time. The finished tincture is taken orally, 1 teaspoon three times a day 30 minutes before meals.
Aloe for adnexitis
Aloe extract is used as a powerful anti-inflammatory and analgesic agent, which has proven itself in the treatment of not only gynecological diseases, but also in surgery, dermatology, dentistry, etc.
Treatment of adnexitis with aloe is quite effective and helps to get rid of severe symptoms in the shortest possible time.
A mixture of crushed aloe leaves and honey (in equal quantities) helps well with adnexitis. It should be infused for 20 days in a dark place, stirring occasionally. After that, the mixture is filtered, and the medicine can be stored in the refrigerator. Before use, the medicine is heated in a water bath, a tampon is soaked in a sufficient amount and inserted into the vagina overnight.

Chamomile for adnexitis
Chamomile helps well with acute and chronic inflammation of the mucous membrane, and it not only relieves unpleasant symptoms, but also has a healing effect. The healing effect of chamomile becomes noticeable after prolonged use.
The most effective are enemas in the anus with a decoction of chamomile, after which the pain disappears quite quickly. To prepare a decoction for an enema, take 1 tbsp. spoon of dry chamomile flowers and pour 200 ml of boiling water. While the decoction is infusing, you can make a cleansing enema. The enema is done with a syringe No. 3, it is imperative that the decoction is absorbed by the intestines. It does not always work the first time, so you can repeat the procedure. The enema should be given once a day, in case of severe inflammation, the procedure can be done several times a day.
Treatment of adnexitis with folk remedies using chamomile is recommended as an adjunct to the main drug therapy.
