For home treatment of external otitis and catarrhal otitis media, the optimal method of physiotherapy is laser (magnetic laser) therapy using devices that generate radiation in the near infrared part of the optical spectrum (wavelength 0.8 - 0.9 μm), in continuous or pulsed mode of generating this radiation.
Physiotherapy for otitis is contact and stable. One or two (in case of a bilateral process) fields are applied to the area of the tragus of the auricle.
PPM OR 5 - 50 mW/cm2. Magnetic nozzle induction 20 - 40 mT.
Radiation modulation frequency: the first 1–3 procedures are carried out at a frequency of 80 Hz, all subsequent procedures – at a frequency of 10 Hz.
The exposure time for one field is 5 minutes, the duration of the treatment course is 5-7 procedures daily, once a day in the morning (the first two days it is possible to carry out procedures 2 times a day with an interval of 4-6 hours).
