Probably, many people know such a state when you wake up and feel broken, your head hurts, the thermometer's column steadily moves upward, the throat dries up and pershit, an inexpressive dry cough appears, and the voice becomes somehow alien, coarse and hoarse. All these are symptoms of a disease with a melodic name called laryngitis, the essence of which lies in the inflammation of the larynx, where all the unpleasant symptoms come from. You can treat the disease in various ways, but the most popular and useful method is inhalation, which doctors advise to do with the help of a specially designed device. Such attention to the device on the part of doctors is due to the fact that the nebulizer with laryngitis allows you to carry out the procedure carefully, without unnecessary irritating effect for the mucous throat.

Effective treatment of laryngitis

So, laryngitis is an inflammatory process, "settled" on the inner wall of the larynx. The reasons for this process are a great many: a cold, infection of the throat, a fungal infection, exposure to high temperatures and irritating chemical compounds that cause a mucus burn. In addition, irritation of the throat with subsequent inflammation of the mucosa can cause too spicy food, highly carbonated drinks, regular inhalation of air with a high content of dust particles, too dry air.

Disease often develops against the background of voice overstrain, which is typical of singers, speakers and many public people. Laryngitis in smokers is caused by a negative effect on nicotine tissues, in ardent alcohol drinkers - the irritating effect of alcohol and certain chemical additives. Pathology can also develop against the backdrop of inflammatory pathologies of the esophagus and stomach, especially if the latter is acidic and with a disease such as reflux esophagitis, when the contents of the stomach are thrown back into the esophagus and throat, irritating the back wall of the larynx.

However, most often the disease develops against the background of weakened immunity in the form of an allergic reaction or an infectious process that develops under the influence of bacteria and viruses (measles, pertussis, acute respiratory viral infection, influenza, etc.) that enter the body respiratory, and also during prolonged exposure to cold, as a result of which we have a catarrhal disease (ARI). Laryngitis can easily arise if the nasopharynx already has an inflammatory process that hampers nasal breathing, which means that it forces the person to breathe through the mouth. This is especially dangerous in the cold season, because it leads to a supercooling of the throat and larynx.

In its pure form, laryngitis is rare, except with a throat injury. Most often it acts as a symptom of other pathologies.

And yet this condition has its own symptom complex, the removal of which is aimed at various therapeutic measures:

  • restriction in conversations, the use of irritating food and drinks,
  • antiviral therapy with immunostimulants (if the cause is a viral infection),
  • antimicrobial and antifungal therapy with antibiotics and antimycotic drugs (with fungal or bacterial infection),
  • Anti-inflammatory therapy with NSAIDs and herbal remedies,
  • anti-edematous therapy (in case of acute disease the injection of such drugs is indicated),
  • warming compresses (in the absence of temperature) on the throat and chest area,
  • regular throat rinsing with antiseptic solutions and infusions,
  • inhalation therapy.

Here we have got close to the main topic of our conversation, the essence of which is the treatment of laryngitis by a nebulizer, which is used in inhalation therapy. But inhalations are assigned one of the main roles in the treatment of the inflammatory process in the larynx, which in the absence of effective treatment can later spread to the bronchi or cause asphyxia (choking) due to spasm or edema of the larynx.

Why inhalation? The thing is that with laryngitis, the focus of inflammation is not located inside the body, but on the mucous membrane of the larynx. It is clear that the best effect in the therapy of such a disease will not systemic effect, when the drug passes through the digestive system, is metabolized, partially enters the bloodstream and only with the flow of blood is delivered to the lesion, and local treatment, in which the drug is applied directly to the damaged mucosa and is adsorbed to 100% unchanged.

But it is not so easy to apply a medicine to the laryngeal mucosa, it's not enough to rinse your throat with it, because it is necessary that the particles of the drug penetrate deeper, not limited only to the nasopharynx. To help the medicine to penetrate into the larynx it is possible only by inhalation of the drug, the particles of which with air will be delivered to the place of injury and settle on the inflamed mucous larynx.

The very word "inhalation" is unlikely to be a novelty for an adult, as inhalation of medicinal vapors is practiced with many colds. However, not everyone knows how to conduct this procedure correctly, so as not to complicate the situation by additional irritation of the laryngeal walls. The fact is that the usual inhalation for us over hot water with various additives provides for the inhalation of a fairly high temperature steam. And hot air and steam have an irritating effect on bronchial mucosa, and even therapeutic supplements can not soften it. Thus, the desired result of the procedure can not be achieved.

Inhalation with laryngitis nebulizer allows you to bypass this unpleasant moment, because the steam produced with it has a comfortable temperature for the throat. So, the nebulizer with laryngitis provides a more safe and effective treatment in comparison with the "grandfather" methods.

You can buy a nebulizer for home use by asking the device at any pharmacy you like. Perhaps the price of a buyer will be unpleasantly surprised, but this device will make life much easier for him and his family during illness, providing a full-fledged contactless effective treatment that has much fewer side effects than chemical medications.

The whole point is that the nebulizer sprays the particles of the drug on the surface of the mucous throat and larynx, and therefore even chemical solutions will have less irritating effect on the digestive organs compared to drugs for oral administration. Penetration into the blood of the components of drugs with this method of administration is minimal, and therefore it avoids the negative effects of chemicals in the composition of the drug on many important internal organs and systems.

In addition, the nebulizer allows you to use not only synthetic drugs, but also relatively safe herbal remedies, soda solution, mineral water and many other liquid formulations used in the inhalation procedure. However, contrary to the generally accepted opinion, it is not recommended to use herbal decoctions and infusions characterized by heterogeneity of composition and essential oils in the nebulizer, since such drugs can provoke an inadequate response of the immune system (an allergic reaction, for example, in the form of the same edema of the laryngeal mucosa).

Indications for the procedure

Inhalations, by whatever means they are carried out, are a serious medical procedure. And, despite the availability of a method that anyone can practice at home, use it strictly as directed by the doctor, so that good intentions do not exacerbate the situation.

Indication for the procedure is the appearance of the corresponding symptomatology, indicating the development of laryngitis. This is a choking and drying of the throat, an increase in body temperature, a change in the timbre and voiced voice, a worsening of the general condition, shortness of breath, a pressing dry cough. Especially useful are inhalations to relieve irritation in the throat (first symptom), facilitate breathing and sputum discharge (last 2 symptoms).

An example of the practice of inhalation treatment in the initial stage of laryngitis, when sputum is not yet receding, and cough is considered particularly painful. Inhalations stimulate sputum evacuation due to its dilution and removal of edema of tissues (depending on the selected therapeutic solutions), and coughing becomes easier.

Inhalations over a bowl with a hot solution, which our mothers and grandmothers practiced, gradually recede into the past, giving way to more progressive methods. The nebulizer device, which doctors advise each patient to take with laryngitis, is designed to facilitate the inhalation procedure, making it not only convenient, but also safe. In addition, nebulizer inhalations with laryngitis have a better effect than when using a bowl of hot water and towels on the head or steam inhalers.

In principle, the nebulizer will prove useful not only with laryngitis, but also with the inflammatory process in the throat (pharyngitis), bronchial tubes (bronchitis), trachea (tracheitis). But if pharyngitis has a sufficient therapeutic effect and the usual steam inhalations, because the bulk of the drug solution settles in the throat, then in the remaining pathologies, including laryngitis, deeper penetration into the respiratory tract is required. This effect can only be provided by a nebulizer that converts a solution for inhalation into a medical aerosol that is sent to the site of inflammation rather than dispersed in the air.

Especially convenient nebulizer with laryngitis in children, because it makes it easy to do inhalations to small whims without fearing to burn the face and throat to the baby, which sometimes happened in the practice of steam inhalations.

Preparation

The nebulizer is not one of the most complex devices. The principle of its operation is extremely simple, it is quite easy and convenient to use a nebulizer. And still, after purchasing the device for inhalations, it is necessary to familiarize yourself with the instruction to it, at least in order to understand how to prepare for the procedure and to conduct it correctly with health benefits.

And we now remind readers of some rules that will help them use a nebulizer with laryngitis so that after the procedure of inhalation there are no various complications:

  • Do not use inhalation for a full stomach or after heavy physical exertion. It can cause dizziness, palpitations, nausea and other unpleasant symptoms. This is especially true for children who have high physical activity even during periods of illness.

The procedure is recommended not earlier than 1-1.5 hours after eating or active physical work.

  • Before planning an inhalation procedure, physicians insist on monitoring body temperature. If the laryngitis temperature does not exceed 37.5 degrees of inhalation, nebulizer can be done, at higher temperatures it is better to abstain from the procedure so as not to provoke its further increase and shortness of breath.
  • Inhalation with laryngitis is not the only treatment procedure. If the patient is taking any other drugs, such as expectorants or antibiotics, inhalation can be carried out no earlier than an hour after taking the medication.
  • The same applies to regular throat rinses with antiseptic and anti-inflammatory agents, which are also used in laryngitis. The interval between rinses and inhalations should be about 1 hour.
  • As for smoking, for the time of illness, it is better to part with this habit (by the way, this is just an excuse to say goodbye to this habit harmful for health!). If, however, the willpower is not enough for such a decisive step, then you need to try at least to sustain the hour interval between the act of smoking and the beginning of the inhalation procedure. Smoking immediately after inhalation is also not possible.
  • Clothing used during inhalations should not be oppressive. The neck and chest should be free so that there is no obstacle to full breathing.
  • An obligatory requirement is observance of elementary rules of hygiene. Before the procedure, you should wash with soap and hands, and only then proceed to prepare a solution for inhalation, which must be sterile. Otherwise, you can acquire a secondary infection and worsen your condition.
  • When assembling the nebulizer (especially the first time), you need to use the instructions attached to it. This saves time and protects the device from spoiling, and the user from unnecessary waste (after all, the pleasure is not cheap).

There are 2 types of devices. For those that work from the network, no additional batteries are required. However, some portable devices operate on batteries, so you need to make sure they are present (in the package or in the battery compartment of the device itself) and operability.

  • The nebulizer tank, the code is filled with a liquid medication for inhalation, it should not be damaged, otherwise the liquid will leak out, and may even cause a short circuit. To check the container, just fill it with clean water and wait a little, without connecting the device to the AC mains.
  • It is necessary to monitor the cleanliness of the respiratory mask, which directly contacts the skin. Before using the device you need to wipe it with a clean cloth moistened with a solution, which you plan to dilute the medicine or at least boiled with cool water.
  • The nebulizer reservoir should always remain clean. After using the device, the liquid container and mask should be cleaned of the remnants of the medicine, must be washed and dried, and then disinfected with alcohol. Keep the device better in a sealed package.
  • Prepare solutions for inhalations immediately before the procedure, mixing the medication prescribed by the doctor in a certain dosage with saline (instead of it you can use water for inhalation, but not tap water, even if boiled). The total volume should be about 4-5 ml.
  • If the medicine used is stored in a refrigerator, it must be heated to room temperature before use. Doing this on an open fire is impossible, but a water bath with a low temperature will be just the way.

Technique of the nebulizer with laryngitis

A portable nebulizer with laryngitis is a very convenient way of carrying out a procedure that is familiar to many, which also few people like. After all, during the usual inhalation over the bowl you have to sit or stand in an uncomfortable position, bending over the vessel with steaming medicine, inhale deeply, choking with steam, languish with heat.

The nebulizer allows you to exclude all the above inconveniences. To conduct inhalation you need to sit in a comfortable position, aligning your back to make it easier to breathe, and the inhaled medicine could freely penetrate deep into the throat and bronchi. The device is kept in an upright position.

For the treatment of children nebulizer provides additional benefits. Many children refuse to do inhalations, because this requires them to maintain a long-term static situation, which is often simply unrealistic for a small non-attendance. In this case, therapeutic inhalations can be carried out when the child is in bed or even asleep. You just need to lift the baby's head, because the nebulizer in the horizontal position can not work correctly.

The device does not hinder the breathing of the baby and does not create any inconveniences for the child. In this case, even there is no need to support it, since the device is attached to the head with special straps.

For treatment of a laryngitis apply a respiratory mask which goes in the complete set with the device. After the tank is filled with medicinal solution, a mask is attached to the device and put on the nose and mouth area, tight enough to the body, so that the drug particles do not escape through the cracks between the skin and the mask. The shape of the mask makes it convenient and tightly attached to the nasolabial triangle.

After the mask is dressed on the face, and the device is included in the network, it is possible to begin the procedure by inhaling the air formed inside the device with the smallest particles of the medicine. With laryngitis, breathe air only with your mouth, slowly and deeply enough, holding your breath for a few seconds, and exhaling is recommended through your nose.

It is important not to overdo it. Too deep breathing can quickly provoke hyperventilation of the lungs, the symptoms of which are dizziness and nausea. Such breathing can also cause coughing attacks.

Do not advise doctors during the procedure and talk. First, it is inconvenient, and secondly, again you will have to breathe in deeply the air, which you do not need to do. And it's not such a problem to keep silent for 5-10 minutes. But if something urgent, then the nebulizer can be removed for a few seconds, and after the conversation continue the procedure for treating the disease.

In order for the effect of inhalation to be noticeable, it is recommended that they be administered at least 3 times a day. But you always need to consider what time interval between inhalations is recommended for each of the drugs used. Some solutions can be used without restrictions, and others 1 time in 4-6 hours.

Usually the inhalation procedure with a nebulizer with laryngitis is carried out for 5-20 minutes. The exact duration of the procedure should be called by the attending physician after making the appointment of medications used for inhalation and their recommended dosage. If during the inhalation the patient begins to feel discomfort, dizziness, nausea, you need to remove the mask and rest for half a minute, then continue the procedure.

What drugs are used for inhalations with a nebulizer with laryngitis

Little by little, the days when patients with cold and viral diseases had to suffer from a bowl of potato broth due to the lack of effective medications and inhalers are gradually disappearing into oblivion. To date, in the therapy of inflammation of the larynx several types of instruments are used that differ in size and principle of action, and a variety of dosage forms that provide a comprehensive approach to the treatment of pathology.

Now on sale you can find 3 types of nebulizers:

  • Ultrasound. In these devices, air, flavored with medicines, is fed into the mask using high-frequency sound waves. True, such inhalers are capable of destroying high molecular compounds of some types of drugs used during the procedure, making inhalations ineffective.
  • Compression (compressor). Supply of air in them occurs with the assistance of low pressure. The air stream breaks the medicine into tiny particles, which then settle on the pharynx mucosa and larynx. Disadvantages of these devices can be considered a strong noise background and large dimensions. In addition, they can only be used in a strictly vertical position.
  • Membrane (MES-nebulizers, electron-mesh). Their action is based on the vibration of the membrane with a number of small holes (mesh), through which the air is supplied and the medicine is crushed. Such nebulizers turn the drug solution into an aerosol, without disturbing the structure of the drug. In most portable nebulizers, which can be used at home, it is the vibrating system that is practically without any drawbacks.

Be that as it may, all nebulizers are able to deliver the medicine deep into the larynx, bronchi, and trachea, which means that they can be used in inpatient or outpatient treatment of laryngitis. Another question, what drugs to use with laryngitis for inhalations nebulizer, all the same pathology has a variety of symptoms, the fight against which can be carried out by different drugs.

Since laryngitis is almost always accompanied by a dry cough, in inhalation treatment, drugs with mucolytic action that dilute sputum and help it escape from the respiratory tract are quite popular. Such medicines include Ambroxol, Lazolvan, Mukolvan, Ambrobene, N-acetylcysteine, ACC Inject and others. All medications used for inhalation should be purchased in the form of a solution that is poured into the nebulizer along with saline (9% NaCl) in a 1: 1 ratio.

With laryngitis in the larynx, there is always an inflammatory process that can lead to swelling of the larynx and laryngospasm. In order to quash it is recommended the use of glucocorticosteroids. Use hormonal drugs inside not everyone is allowed, and such treatment can have unpleasant consequences. But external hormone therapy is considered quite safe and effective procedure.

For inhalations with a nebulizer with laryngitis, you can use hormones Pulmicort, Dexamethasone, Hydrocortisone, Fliksotid and others, without fear of various side effects. As an anti-inflammatory agent, you can also use herbal preparations based on calendula, chamomile, yarrow (Rotokan, Tonzilgon, etc.).

Inflammatory process on the mucosa makes it more sensitive to various kinds of irritants, including bacterial infection, therefore it is recommended to treat the inner surface of the larynx with antiseptics. Effective antiseptics include Furacilin, Chlorfillipt, Miramistin, Dioxydin and other antimicrobial solutions. However, in acute conditions with antiseptics, one must be cautious, as they can only strengthen laryngospasm and provoke asphyxia.

To prevent attacks of suffocation in acute laryngitis (especially allergic nature) inhalation can be carried out with bronchodilator drugs (Berodual, Berotek, Salbutam, Atrovent, etc.), additionally give the patient antihistamines and do anti-decongestants injections.

With a strong spasm of the larynx or bronchial tubes, as well as to prevent the spread of the inflammatory process to the bronchi and lungs, according to the doctor's indications, inhalations with such drugs as "Eufillin", "Epinephrine", "Adrenaline" can be performed. For use in a nebulizer, the drug should be diluted with saline in a ratio of 1: 6.

Bacterial laryngitis in addition to antitussive and anti-inflammatory therapy requires the appointment of antibacterial agents. Most of them are prescribed in the form of tablets or injections, but the drug "Fluimucil" can be used even for inhalations in the dosage prescribed by the doctor.

Solutions for nebulizer with laryngitis are usually prepared on the basis of saline. Most drugs are diluted in a ratio of 1: 1 or 1: 2. 1% solution of "Chlorfillipt" is recommended to dilute with saline solution in the ratio 1:10. It is recommended to plant herbal medicines in a different ratio - 1:40.

However, with an uncomplicated form of laryngitis, you can not resort to potent drugs. Alkaline inhalation with a nebulizer with laryngitis can significantly improve the patient's condition, since such a solution has a protective and moisturizing effect on the inflamed organ. After alkaline inhalations, symptoms such as perspiration and drying of the throat go away, cough alleviates, because sputum, diluted with droplets of moisture, begins to depart better.

As an alkaline composition for inhalation, you can use a solution of soda (2 tablespoons of soda for 0.5 liters of water, completely dissolve and drain), soda buffer, mineral waters with alkalizing effect (Borjomi, Essentuki, Luzhanskaya and some other), saline (9% saline).

Alkaline solutions, including saline, have a good antiseptic effect, so that even without the use of other medicines they are able to cope with a mild inflammation caused by a viral infection. In addition, inhalation with a nebulizer with saline is effective in allergic laryngitis, since it allows you to neutralize the allergen by removing it from the body, which significantly improves the patient's condition.

Inhalation saline can be done only with the help of a nebulizer. The steam method is ineffective in this case, because when heated, the saline solution forms a sediment, and the person must breathe pure steam, which does not give a tangible effect. Nebulizer does not require heating of saline solution, but with the help of a special device it turns salty liquid into medical aerosol.

Often with inflammation of the larynx the doctor prescribes several drugs for inhalation, but this does not mean that they should be used simultaneously. The usual scheme of treatment implies the following algorithm of actions:

  1. Inhalations with expectorants (if bronchodilators and mucolytics are prescribed, inhalation with bronchodilators is first done, and after 20-25 it can be done with agents that dilute sputum).
  2. Inhalations with antiseptics or anti-inflammatory hormonal drugs (conducted after 20-30 minutes, when the patient completely cleared sputum, which became less viscous after the previous procedure).

How many of which inhalations should be administered per day and how many days so need to be treated should the attending physician say. Solving such issues on their own, relying on their own experience and advice from the Internet, is quite dangerous, especially when dealing with antibiotics and steroid drugs.

Now let's talk about the compositions that are not recommended for use in nebulizers. First of all, these are oil mixtures and essential oils. The use of the latter has a good result in the case of steam inhalations, when there is an active evaporation of nutrients in the oils. And the use of oily mixtures presents a difficulty in splitting the drug into small particles and complicates the antiseptic treatment of the nebulizer after the procedure.

Undesirable is the use of herbal decoctions and home-made infusions, which can unexpectedly cause an allergic reaction (do not forget that the inflammation of the mucosa becomes particularly sensitive). And even pharmacies with a heterogeneous consistency to use for inhalation doctors do not recommend. However, such drugs can be successfully used to rinse throat with laryngitis.

Some pharmacy products, although they are useful in inflammation of the larynx by action, are still not used in inhalation treatment because of their low effectiveness in local application. Such drugs in the form of solutions like "Theophylline", "Papaverin" and some others are intended only for injection, and therefore use them in inhalers is not appropriate.

Inhalation by a nebulizer to children

Inhalational treatment is familiar to many since childhood, because virtually all mothers, on the advice of relatives and doctors, resort to a procedure for the treatment of most respiratory pathologies, especially those that, like laryngitis, are accompanied by a dry cough. But children suffer from inflammatory pathologies of the respiratory system much more often than most adults. And the fault is the imperfection of the immune system, which is formed for several years after the birth of the baby.

Moreover, the nasal passages in children are not yet capable of completely detaining the dust, allergens, viruses and bacteria that enter it, which contributes to the spread of the process in depth, i.e. On the larynx, bronchi, trachea, lungs. But first of all the larynx still suffers, in fact it is closest to the nasopharynx, which means that laryngitis in children is not a rare occurrence.

Laryngitis for children is more dangerous than for adults, because the larynx of the child is not yet wide enough, which means that when it swells, its lumen becomes such that it prevents normal breathing and spitting. As a result, a strong suffocating cough and asphyxia are often observed.

Laryngitis in children is a pathology that requires thorough treatment, and inhalations are the most effective and safe method, which, combined with pharmacotherapy and physiotherapy, gives a quick enough result, allowing the patient to heal the disease completely within a week and prevent its transition to a chronic form.

However, inhalation for children is not as easy as it seems at first glance. Not every adult can successfully survive 10-15 minutes over the steam, covering the top with a coverlet, so as not to leave the precious vapor from potato broth, soda solution or other medicinal compounds warmed to a high temperature. Firstly, very soon a person becomes hot, and he begins to choke on steam. And then there's the sweat of hail, which is not even possible to brush off, because the hands usually remain outside.

Secondly, the person from the hot air starts to "burn" and the patient feels this is even more discomfort. Some can even rise body temperature.

Thirdly, the procedure itself is quite tiring, because you need to stand for a long time or sit in one position, tilting your head above the bowl. But it's difficult for children even to sit quietly for a minute, if they are not busy with something interesting, where exactly is there to get them to take an unpleasant procedure for a quarter of an hour.

All these problems can be successfully solved by inhaling children with laryngitis, pharyngitis, or bronchitis with a nebulizer. The procedure itself can be done even at home during night (daytime) sleep, using a portable nebulizer with a special children's mask, which is included in the kit.

In the configuration of any device for inhalation must be included instruction, where, among other things, it is indicated which solutions can be used in this nebulizer. Those. Parents do not even have to worry about what kind of solution to use during the procedure.

By the way, some models of nebulizers have bright colors and accessories that will surely interest the baby, thus diverting from the procedure. Within 5-10 minutes the attention of the child will be occupied by a beautiful "toy", which means that he will not be capricious and try to remove the device.

Nebulizer with laryngitis in children is an indispensable device that makes it easier for parents who do not have to force their crumbs through tears to perform an unpleasant procedure. After treatment with a nebulizer can be carried out even without the consent of the child, who at this time will sleep peacefully, and his body - heals.

Contraindications to the procedure

Despite all the variety of drugs for inhalation with a nebulizer, including saline and soda solution, and used for this device, inhalation therapy is considered a serious medical procedure, and therefore requires a responsible attitude.

The nebulizer used to treat a child with laryngitis can have a beautiful bright color and jewelry in the form of toys, but it still remains a medical device. This should not be forgotten, as well as that inhalations, as one of the therapeutic methods, may have certain contraindications to the procedure.

Let's say at once, there are not that many prohibitions about the procedure. However, their non-compliance can have deplorable consequences.

  1. Heat. Despite the fact that the nebulizers do not use hot liquids, the procedure is recommended only at normal and subfebrile body temperature (in adults up to 37.5 o C, in children up to 38 o C).
  2. Presence of pus in the sputum. This indicates a complicated course of the disease and the presence of a bacterial infection, which must be dealt with systematically.
  3. Bleeding from the nose. Since inhalation requires breathing out the nose, they can only complicate the situation.
  4. Blood in excreted phlegm. This symptom can indicate already heavier pathologies than laryngitis, and therefore requires additional research and treatment.
  5. Functional disorders of the heart and blood vessels. In this case, it is obligatory to consult a specialist doctor about the possibility of applying a particular method of treatment.
  6. Severe pathology of the respiratory system. Inhalations can trigger a spasm of the larynx or bronchi, which will lead to suffocation.

Consequences after the procedure

Doctors believe that it is possible to use a nebulizer with laryngitis for everyone, including newborns, which is very convenient, because not all therapeutic methods are available at this age. Inhalations with a nebulizer make it possible to get rid of many symptoms of the disease quite comfortably and safely. Usually after the procedure, no negative effects are observed.

But for the time being, we talked about inhalations that were prescribed by a doctor, i.e. The person received a scheme, where the preparations for inhalations are prescribed, their dosage, methods of breeding, time and frequency of the procedure. Adhering to the recommendations of the doctor, the patient thus prevents the onset of unpleasant complications and consequences.

If you engage in self-medication, and even without taking into account contraindications to the procedure, then in the pathologies of the cardiovascular system, you can earn even a heart attack, and with complicated bronchopulmonary pathologies - asphyxia. Not to mention the fact that in the presence of fungal flora, which became the cause of laryngitis, inhalation can trigger the spread of infection deep into the body (bronchi, trachea, lungs).

Complications can also be if using a nebulizer with laryngitis, do not care about its purity, because joining a bacterial infection often leads to a complicated course of the disease, when the forefront comes from local and systemic antibiotic therapy.

Care after the procedure

Inhalation nebulizer - a fairly simple, but very effective procedure with laryngitis. And the device itself makes it much easier to conduct medical inhalations, although it requires some care for yourself.

Care for the nebulizer after the procedure is to thoroughly clean the tank and mask from the remnants of drugs. The parts of the device should be rinsed well with boiled water and dried. It is also advisable to treat the mask and fluid reservoir with an antiseptic solution (eg alcohol).

The disinfected dry device should be stored in a sealed package, where different microorganisms can not enter.

As for the patient himself, after the procedure for some time it is better to refrain from talking and walking outdoors in the cold season, after rain or in conditions of great dustiness. It's better to lie down for half an hour in a quiet environment.

Washing of the mouth after inhalations is required only when corticosteroids were used as a therapeutic solution. In this case, at the end of the procedure, it is recommended to rinse the mouth with boiled or purified water.

As you can see, a nebulizer with laryngitis is a high-grade medical device that not only facilitates the procedure of inhalation therapy, but also makes it much more effective and safer. It's not for nothing that doctors recommend everyone to get such a useful device.
