Infitherapy (the name of the method is derived from the word "INFITA", which is an abbreviation - Pulse Low Frequency Physiotherapeutic Apparatus) is a method of local action of the pertinent parameters by a pulsed electric field, carried out with a single electrode located at a distance of 20-30 cm from the site of impact, or by means of two electrodes, which are in contact with certain areas of the skin of the patient's body.

Infitherapy uses an electric field strength of 1 - 100 mV / cm; the frequency of generation of electrical pulses is 20-80 Hz, the shape of the pulses is triangular, the polarity is negative, and the voltage in the pulse is about 13 V.

The effect of the factor with the remote location of the electrode at the eye level of the patient is associated with the direct influence of the pulsed electric field on neurons, synapses and neural ensembles of the brain due to the appearance in them of electrodynamic changes that initiate conformational rearrangements of the corresponding structures. As with the method of electro-therapy, infitherapy causes changes in the associative relationships of neural networks, and then a cascade of subsequent biochemical and biological reactions with a final realization occurs in clinical effects. With a local effect on! Other parts of the patient's body, electrodynamic changes and subsequent conformational changes that arise in the tissues of the body affect the receptor sensitivity primarily on the inhibitory (decreasing sensitivity of cutaneous receptors) variant.

The main clinical effects: sedative, vasoactive.

The equipment: "Infita", "Infita-BP", "Infita-combi".
