Inphitatherapy (the name of the method comes from the word] "INFITA", which is an abbreviation for Pulsed Low-Frequency Physiotherapeutic Apparatus) is a method of local exposure to a pulsed electric field of the corresponding parameters, carried out using one electrode located at a distance of 20-30 cm from the site of exposure, or using two electrodes contacted to certain areas of the patient's skin.
Inphitatherapy uses an electric field strength of 1 - 100 mV/cm; the frequency of electrical impulse generation is 20-80 Hz, the shape of the impulses is triangular, the polarity is negative, the voltage in the impulse is about 13 V.
The effect of the factor with a distant location of the electrode at the level of the patient's eyes is associated with the direct influence of the pulsed electric field on neurons, synapses and neural ensembles of the brain due to the occurrence of electrodynamic changes in them, which initiate conformational rearrangements of the corresponding structures. As with the method of electrosleep therapy, infitatherapy causes changes in the associative connections of neural networks, and then a cascade of subsequent biochemical and biological reactions occurs with the final implementation in clinical effects. With local action on! Other parts of the patient's body, electrodynamic changes and subsequent conformational rearrangements occurring in the tissues of the body affect receptor sensitivity mainly according to the inhibitory (reducing! Sensitivity of skin receptors) variant.
Main clinical effects: sedative, vasoactive.
Equipment: “Infita”, “Infita-BP”, “Infita-combi”.
