Hemangioma eyelids - a common pathology. It is characterized by early appearance and rapid growth. The hemangioma of the eyelids causes astigmatism (the strong axis is located at an angle of 90 degrees, relative to the tumor). Over time, as a rule, there is a spontaneous improvement.
- Surgical intervention is usually not shown until a clear demarcation line is formed.
- Improvement of the condition can be noted with general or topical application of steroid preparations of prolonged action.
- After spontaneous reduction of tumor size, surgical treatment is recommended to eliminate residual changes in the skin.
- A good effect is provided by laser correction of superficial skin defects.
- The main cause of vision loss is amblyopia. In connection with this, an obligatory component of the treatment is occlusion.
- If necessary, assign the appropriate optical correction.
