West Nile Fever: Diagnosis

Clinical diagnosis of Western Nile fever sporadic cases of Western Nile fever is problematic. In the endemic region of the Western Nile region, any case of influenza-like illness or neuro-infection in June-October is suspected of West Nile fever, but can only be diagnosed using laboratory tests.

West Nile Fever: Causes and Pathogenesis

Cause of West Nile fever - West Nile fever virus belongs to the Flavivirus family of the Flaviviridae family. The pathogenesis of the western Nile fever has been studied little.

Fever of the Western Nile

Fever of the western Nile (encephalitis of the Western Nile) is an acute viral zoonotic natural focal disease with a transmissible mechanism of transmission of the pathogen. Characterized by an acute onset, expressed feverishly intoxication syndrome and CNS damage.

Marburg haemorrhagic fever

Hemorrhagic fever Marburg is an acute zoonotic highlethal viral disease, manifested by intoxication, expressed by the phenomena of universal capillarotoxicosis. Synonyms: fever hemorrhagic cercoprotein, disease of green monkeys, Marburg viral disease, hemorrhagic fever Maridi.

Hemorrhagic fever Lossa

Lassa hemorrhagic fever is an acute zoonotic natural focal viral disease characterized by the development of hemorrhagic syndrome, ulcerative necrotic pharyngitis, pneumonia, myocarditis, renal damage and high mortality. The synonym is Lassa fever.

Ebola haemorrhagic fever

Ebola haemorrhagic fever is an acute viral especially dangerous infectious disease, characterized by severe course, marked hemorrhagic syndrome and high level of lethality. The synonym is Ebola.

Dengue fever

Dengue fever is an acute zooanthroponotic arbovirus infectious disease with a transmissible mechanism of transmission of the pathogen, prevalent in countries of the tropical and subtropical belt. There are two clinical forms of the disease: classical and hemorrhagic (shock syndrome dengue).

Yellow fever: prevention

For the prevention of yellow fever, immunization of the population is of great practical importance. To this end, two live vaccines are used, in particular a vaccine based on strain 17D, obtained by prolonged passage of the virus in a cell culture. The vaccine, which was created on the basis of the adapted Dakar strain adapted for serial mice, received less spread.

Yellow fever: treatment

Specific treatment of yellow fever is not developed. The use of blood serum of sick people and naturally immunized monkeys proved ineffective. All medical measures reduce to the use of pathogenetic drugs.

Yellow fever: diagnosis

Diagnosis of yellow fever in most patients is based on the characteristic symptoms of the disease (a typical saddle-shaped temperature curve, severe hemorrhagic diathesis symptoms, kidney damage, jaundice, enlarged liver and spleen, bradycardia, etc.).
