Kidney abscess is a fairly rare form of acute purulent pyelonephritis. Kidney abscess often complicates urolithiasis.

Kidney carbuncle is a kidney disease of a purulent-necrotic nature, which is accompanied by the development of limited infiltration in the renal tissue parenchyma. Defeat with formation of limited infiltrate in the cortical substance of the kidney. In recent years, the frequency of the carbuncle of the kidney has increased significantly.

Infected hydronephrosis and concomitant pionephrosis are two different stages of a secondary infectious process that are localized in the renal parenchyma.

Acute pyelonephritis is a well-pronounced clinical syndrome. Consisting of an acute onset with fever, pain in the side and muscle tension in the rib and vertebral corner, associated with leukocytosis, leukocyturia and bacteriuria. These symptoms can be accompanied by cystitis with frequent, painful urination.
