Symptoms chondroblastoma in a child
Typical complaints are pain in the joint area, the intensity of which increases over time. With a long-term course of the tumor, pronounced lameness, hypotrophy of the soft tissues of the limb, and joint contracture are noted. Typical localization is the epiphyses and epimetaphyses of long tubular bones.

Diagnostics chondroblastoma in a child
Radiographs and CT reveal an eccentrically located destruction focus in the epiphysis of the tubular bone with clear boundaries and a tendency to spread to the metaphysis. The presence of calcification zones gives the internal structure of the focus a speckled appearance. Scintigraphy records both local hypervascularization (170% on average) and hyperfixation of the radiopharmaceutical (230% on average).
