Displacement of any organ is a serious problem for the body. Prolapse of the cervix, as sad as it sounds, is a fairly common diagnosis made by specialists. There are quite a few reasons that can lead to this pathology.

ICD-10 code

This disease is included in the International Classification of Diseases of the Tenth Revision (ICD code 10) and has its own coding - N81, which sounds like "Prolapse of female genital organs". One of the lower divisions is:

  • Code N81.2 – “Incomplete prolapse of the uterus and vagina”.
  • Code N81.3 – “Complete prolapse of the uterus and vagina.”
  • Code N81.4 - "Prolapse of uterus and vagina, unspecified."

Causes of Cervical Prolapse

To make the right decision on treatment methods, the attending physician must have a complete picture of the pathological process, as well as know the causes of cervical prolapse. Only in this way can we talk about a complete, effective and quick result.

  • Doctors believe that one of the most common causes of the disease is weakening of the abdominal muscles.
  • Excessive stretching of the ligaments, nerves and muscles located in the area of the organ in question.
  • Pathological changes in a woman's body, accompanied by displacement of organs adjacent to the uterus. This could be, for example, the bladder or rectum.
  • Anatomical features of the structure and location of internal organs.
  • An injury that results in damage to muscle fibers.
  • Difficult obstetric care.
  • A surgical procedure performed on a woman's reproductive organs.
  • Perineal trauma.
  • Hormonal imbalance in the body. This can be either a pathological process or a natural one, such as menopause.
  • Asthenia.
  • A congenital pathology that causes a deficiency or complete absence of such a compound as collagen in the body. This substance is necessary for the normal functioning of the entire musculoskeletal system of the human body, including the pelvic area.

It is also worth noting a number of external factors that can lead a woman’s body to this problem:

  • Lifting heavy objects.
  • A profession or lifestyle that involves heavy physical exertion.
  • Obesity, that is, any extra kilogram, is a burden on the musculoskeletal system, as well as muscle and connective tissue.
  • Frequent and numerous births.
  • The presence of high intra-abdominal pressure.
  • In some cases, if there are prerequisites, severe coughing attacks can provoke cervical prolapse.
  • Women whose immediate relatives suffered from this disease have a significantly higher chance of getting it.

This disease can be detected both in a young girl and in an older woman. However, age increases the risk of this pathology (lack of estrogen affects). If the pathology has gone far enough, the likelihood of loss of working capacity increases.

Much more often, the disease in question is a consequence of the manifestation of a number of factors at once.

Pathogenesis

In order to provide the most effective treatment, it is desirable for the attending physician to understand the pathogenesis of the disease. In this situation, it is quite obvious. Whatever the cause, the muscle and connective tissues are not able to hold the cervix in its normal position.

Symptoms of Cervical Prolapse

Forewarned is forearmed. Perhaps, every modern girl or woman should definitely know the symptoms of cervical prolapse. After all, if they appear, she must know what to do and who to contact.

  • The woman begins to feel heaviness in the lower abdomen.
  • There may be a sensation of a foreign body in the vaginal area.
  • In the same area, as well as in the lumbar and sacral region, painful symptoms are felt. It feels like something is being pulled.
  • During intercourse, bloody discharge may appear from the vagina.
  • Coitus becomes very painful.
  • As practice shows, the volume of monthly discharge changes (both up and down).
  • If such a diagnosis is made in a young woman, then there is a high probability of infertility.
  • Regular bladder infections.
  • As it descends, the pressure on other organs increases. Problems with urination, kidney function, and ureters appear.
  • Gradually, the disorder affects the intestines. This can be colitis, constipation, or loss of the ability to hold urine or feces.
  • The appearance of itching in the perineal area.
  • Pain and discomfort when walking.
  • Friction of the prolapsed cervix against underwear can cause damage to the integrity of the epithelial layer, which increases the likelihood of pathogenic flora entering.
  • Tissue swelling.
  • Stagnation phenomena.
  • Bluish tint of tissues.
  • Prolapse of hemorrhoids.
  • Visually, the organ is observed to protrude from the vaginal opening.

First signs

Women should remember that the first signs of this disease are discomfort and a nagging, aching pain in the lower abdomen. Gradually, this pain begins to flow into the lower back and sacrum. During intercourse, the pain in a woman intensifies, and bloody discharge can be observed from the vagina.

Cervical prolapse during pregnancy

Quite often this pathology is diagnosed in women who have had difficult natural childbirth. But cases of cervical prolapse during pregnancy are not uncommon.

This is especially likely if the muscular and connective system of the expectant mother is weak enough. As the fetus develops and grows in size, the load on this system increases, and it cannot cope with its task. The muscle fibers are excessively stretched and the uterus, together with the cervix, begins to descend. If the process is neglected, its further development can lead to the appearance of the cervix in the perineal slit.

The symptoms of this disease have already been described above. In case of pregnancy, depending on the severity of the disease. If the pathology does not pose a threat to the fetus, then doctors postpone its treatment until the postpartum period. In this situation, the expectant mother is recommended maximum rest and no weights. She will also be offered a set of exercises developed by Kegel to strengthen the muscle tissue of the intimate area.

If the situation with the disease is severe, then doctors can first take orthopedic precautions. For example, as a clamp preventing the divergence of the cervix, which will definitely provoke premature birth, the obstetrician-gynecologist can use a special gynecological ring, called a pessary. This device is removed if there are no pathological prerequisites, after the expectant mother has crossed the 37-38 week barrier.

In case of more severe symptoms, surgical treatment of the patient is also possible.

Cervical prolapse after childbirth

In most cases, cervical prolapse after childbirth is the result of difficult childbirth that occurs naturally. The reason for this may be:

  • The large weight of the newborn, which, passing through the birth canal, disrupted the integrity of the mother's muscular and connective tissues in the pelvic area.
  • Using forceps.
  • Weak labor activity and squeezing the baby out dry.

This disease can manifest itself with pathological symptoms both immediately after childbirth and several years later.

As statistics show, women who have had a cesarean section have a lower risk of developing this pathology in the future as a consequence of childbirth.

In any case, it is not safe to draw conclusions and make decisions about treatment on your own. Therefore, an examination and consultation with a qualified specialist is necessary.

Prolapse of the cervical walls

If we consider the anatomical structure of a woman, and more specifically her reproductive system, it is clear that prolapse of the cervical walls occurs as a result of the prolapse of the organ itself (the uterus). Obstetricians and gynecologists divide this process into three severity categories:

  • The cervix itself is displaced downwards relative to its normal state.
  • The cervix descends so that it is visible from the vagina.
  • The cervix can already be visually observed in the area of the genital slit.

This disease does not develop rapidly. But this does not protect against problems in the future. And there is a high probability that over time, if appropriate measures are not taken to stop the problem, the organ in question will fall out completely, which is already a fairly severe manifestation of the disease.

And since everything in our body is interconnected, a "chain reaction" can follow - prolapse of other nearby internal organs. If this happens more than once, the walls of the cervix begin to harden, losing their elasticity and flexibility. At the same time, the "gates" for infection of both the reproductive and urinary systems of a woman remain open.

trusted-source[ 10 ], [ 11 ], [ 12 ]

Incomplete prolapse of the cervix

This is perhaps the mildest form of pathology - incomplete prolapse of the cervix. This diagnosis is made when only the vaginal part of the cervix is displaced. The body itself is lowered, but is still located outside the genital slit.

In this situation, the ratio of the dimensional parameters of the organ itself and the cervix may remain the same, or they may be disrupted due to the elongation of the cervix itself.

Consequences

If appropriate measures to stop the disease are not taken, the consequences of its further progression can be quite predictable. After all, the human body is a complex interconnected system, so prolapse of the cervix can cause disruptions in the work of other internal organs. In such a situation, the organs of the excretory system and intestines can also suffer.

In case of complete organ prolapse, serious therapy is required and surgical intervention is unavoidable. Elements of the cervix protruding from the genital slit during walking cause injury, ulcers begin to form on the mucous membrane, which open access for infection into the body, and the consequences of this are simply difficult to even imagine.

Complications

At the first signs of the occurrence of the pathology in question, a woman should seek advice and examination from an obstetrician-gynecologist. If the problem was stopped in a timely manner, then the woman will soon simply forget about her recent illness. If this is not done and the disease continues to progress, then sooner or later complications appear that only worsen the situation, both with the woman's health and with the methods of treatment.

This pathology rarely manifests itself as a monoproblem. Usually, the organ itself or at least part of it falls out. Since all internal organs are interconnected by connective and muscle fibers, then following the displacement of the uterus, nearby organs are also subject to displacement.

For example, the bladder. Such a displacement threatens its owner with problems with urination:

  • Urinary incontinence.
  • Frequent urge to go to the toilet.
  • Stagnation of urine in a number of areas of this organ.

With a similar disruption in the functioning of the intestine, the following pathological symptoms may appear:

  • The appearance of constipation.
  • Faecal incontinence.
  • Bloating is caused by a problem with the waste gases produced during the digestive process.

Such changes in the pelvic area provoke the emergence and development of the inflammatory process. Deformation of organs occurs, stones begin to form more actively in the kidneys and bladder.

The ulcers that appear on the walls of the uterus begin to bleed, and if an infection has already entered them, then depending on the type of damage, a number of infectious diseases may be added. In this case, a whole bunch of diseases will have to be treated.

In particularly severe situations, even death is possible.

Diagnosis of cervical prolapse

The suspicion of the presence of pathology may creep in the woman herself, when certain uncomfortable symptoms appear, or may arise in a specialist during the woman's next visit to the obstetrician-gynecologist. Diagnosis of cervical prolapse is carried out systematically and is not particularly difficult, but the doctor must assess the severity of the disease, as well as concomitant diseases:

  • This is a visual examination of a woman on a chair using a gynecological mirror. The specialist is able to visually (or by touch) recognize the presence of a disease.
  • Tactile sensation.
  • Finding out the patient's medical history:
    • Existing diseases.
    • Did the woman give birth, and how many births were there in total?
    • The presence of abortions, their number, including gynecological curettage caused by medical necessity.
    • Hereditary predisposition. Does she have close relatives - women with a similar problem: mother, grandmother, sister.
  • Conducting a colposcopy. Taking material in the form of a cytological scraping.
  • Biopsy to assess the degree of the patient's genitourinary system. Consultation with a urologist.
  • It is necessary to have an examination of the intestines to assess the degree of changes. Consultation with a proctologist.
  • Ultrasound examination.
  • Conducting the necessary laboratory tests.
  • If necessary, the doctor prescribes an X-ray (to determine concomitant diseases).
  • It is advisable to undergo a complete examination of the body: heart, nervous and vascular systems, endocrine organs.

Tests

Whenever a specialist contacts a patient, the first thing he asks them to do is laboratory tests. Their results today cannot even be assessed.

  • Blood test for thyroid and adrenal cortex hormone levels.
  • General and biochemical blood tests.
  • General and biochemical urine analysis.
  • Determination of the level of sex hormones in urine and blood.
  • Blood to determine blood type and Rh factor.
  • Bacteriological culture of urine and leucorrhoea for flora.
  • Testing for human papillomavirus (HPV). The material taken (smear) is sent for polymerase chain reaction (PCR). If HPV is detected, its type is determined.
  • A biopsy is a laboratory test of a smear taken from the vagina.

trusted-source[ 22 ], [ 23 ]

Instrumental diagnostics

Today, it is almost impossible to imagine that medicine works without the wonders of modern science. Therefore, instrumental diagnostics are the most informative and highly accurate research methods. In this case, the following is usually prescribed:

  • Colposcopy is an examination of the internal walls of the vagina and cervix using special instruments.
  • Magnetic resonance imaging of the pelvic organs is a highly informative examination method with minimal radiation exposure.
  • Ultrasound examination of the pelvic organs (ultrasound). Echographic examination.
  • Exterotal urography – using X-rays, an examination is performed and a package of images of the urinary tract is obtained.
  • By puncture of the retro-uterine space through the posterior vaginal fornix.
  • Study of the patency of the fallopian tubes.
  • Endoscopy, hysteroscopy - research methods using an optical device equipped with a lighting device. Examination of the intestines and organs of the excretory system.

Differential diagnostics

But no matter how well equipped the laboratories and diagnostic centers of medical clinics are, the final word still belongs to the person. It is the specialist who conducts a general analysis of the results of the study, creating a complete picture of the pathology. Therefore, differential diagnostics is summing up, cutting off diseases that are similar in symptoms, but not confirmed by research, and making an unambiguous correct diagnosis.

Who to contact?

Treatment of cervical prolapse

As noted above, this disease has three stages of severity. The chosen method of therapy depends on the stage of the pathology of a particular case.

  • The first degree - the cervix itself is displaced downwards relative to its normal state.
  • Second degree - the cervix drops so that it is visible from the vagina.
  • Third degree - the cervix can already be visually observed in the area of the genital slit.

The presence of disturbances in the functioning of the sphincter of the bladder and intestines is also taken into account.

Treatment of cervical prolapse can be conservative and/or surgical.

Conservative therapy is given to patients whose pathology is diagnosed at an early stage. This treatment protocol usually includes general strengthening therapy, as well as medications that can increase the tone of the ligaments and muscle fibers of the abdominal region. Physiotherapy methods, special exercises, and hydrotherapy are also included here.

In the role of strengthening exercises at the early stage of prolapse, a selection of movements that serve as strengthening for the gluteal muscles or a specially developed Kegel complex can be used.

If a severe form of the disease is diagnosed, then it will not be possible to do without surgical intervention and, naturally, the woman also undergoes drug treatment.

In cases where the disease is diagnosed in a severe form, and for some reason it is impossible to perform an operation (medical indicators, advanced age of the patient), then, as a half measure, protecting the organ from displacement, a special ring - a pessary - can be applied to the cervix. But such "Treatment" should take place under constant monitoring of the attending physician. The disadvantages of this method are that with prolonged wearing of this plastic ring, bedsores form at the place of contact with it, and the stretching of the ligamentous and muscle fibers is not relieved, but only worsens.

The essence of the operation to stop the problem is to put the uterus in its proper anatomical place and fix it to the base of the muscles that are responsible for its support. Mostly, this method gives a positive result. After the operation, the patient only needs to go through a rehabilitation period, following all the doctor's recommendations.

Medicines

As practice shows, almost none of the diseases can be cured without the help of medications that specifically affect the patient's body. Medicines used to treat cervical prolapse are classified as general tonics, as well as medications that work to stimulate the tone of muscle and connective tissue in the pelvic area.

General tonic medicines include: Vitamax, Prostopin, rosehip syrup, Galenophyllipt, Efinasal, Leuseya, Cropanol, Gastrofungin, Aflubin, Mylaif, Melobiotin and others.

Gastrofungin in the form of tincture is recommended to be taken 20-30 drops twice or three times a day half an hour before meals. The duration of the treatment course is from three to five months.

Contraindications to taking this pharmacological agent include individual intolerance to one or more components of the drug.

Medicines that effectively increase the tone of muscles and connective tissues that are required to maintain the uterus in its place in a woman's body include: tincture of aralia (tincturaaraliae), pantocrine (pantocrinum), tincture of ginseng (tincturaginseng), saparalum (saparalum), tincture of zamanihi (tincturaechinopanacis), securinine nitrate (securinininitras), camphor (camphora), symptol (symptol), caffeine (coffeinum), midodrine (midodrine), rantarine (rantarinum), strychnine nitrate (strychnininitras), ecdistenum and others.

Caffeine is taken orally by the patient at 50-100 mg twice or three times throughout the day.

Contraindications for taking this pharmacological agent include sleep disorders, persistent increase in blood pressure, increased intraocular pressure, the appearance of atherosclerotic symptoms, organic pathologies of the cardiovascular system, advanced age of the patient, as well as individual intolerance to one or more components of the drug.

Pantocrin is taken orally 30-40 drops (in the form of a solution) or one to two tablets before meals (half an hour). The duration of therapy is from two to three weeks. Then a ten-day break and the course of treatment can be repeated.

Contraindications for taking this pharmacological agent include abnormal heart rhythms, severe stages of kidney disease, the appearance of atherosclerotic symptoms, organic pathologies of the cardiovascular system, increased blood clotting, as well as individual intolerance to one or more components of the drug.

Folk remedies

In many ways, the approach of non-traditional methods is in tune with the methods of classical medicine. Therefore, it can be said unequivocally that folk treatment, in the pathology under consideration, can be used only with the permission of doctors and only as an additional auxiliary method for solving the problem.

  • Recipe 1

In this case, our grandmothers used a steam bath, which was prepared in the following way:

  • First, a chamomile decoction was prepared, which was prepared on the basis of fifty grams of medicinal herb and two liters of boiling water. Leave this composition to brew.
  • A red firebrick was taken and placed directly into the fire or oven, where it heated up.
  • At the same time, they took an empty bucket, wrapped its edges with cloth, adding a little birch tar inside the container.
  • The brick is removed from the fire and placed in a bucket.
  • The patient must sit on a bucket, and then very carefully, in small portions, pour the decoction onto the hot stone. When it hits the brick, the chamomile infusion evaporates, treating the labia and the prolapsed organ.

This procedure must be carried out very carefully to avoid burns. The course of treatment is designated by eight such procedures.

  • Recipe 2

This composition is prepared on the basis of egg shells. In this case, you will need a quantity collected from five pieces (the eggs must be fresh).

  • Wash the shell thoroughly, dry and crush.
  • Wash five medium-sized lemons and chop them.
  • Mix the two ingredients and place in a cool place for three days.
  • Then add 500 ml of high-quality vodka. Leave in a dark place for another three days (but not in the refrigerator).
  • Strain the infusion.
  • Take 30 ml immediately before breakfast and dinner.
  • Duration of treatment: until the tincture is finished.
  • Take a break, during which time prepare a new portion of the remedy.
  • Repeat this treatment three times.

But it is worth remembering that self-medication can only worsen the condition of the woman's body. Therefore, any treatment with non-traditional methods should be agreed with a qualified specialist (your attending physician).

Herbal treatment

The most common means of alternative medicine are collections of various medicinal herbs. As already noted above, herbal treatment can only be used with the permission of the attending physician. In this article, we are ready to offer a number of such recipes:

  • Take 500 ml of 70% medical alcohol and pour it over 50 g of crushed astragalus herb. Leave in a place inaccessible to sunlight for about ten days. After that, take a teaspoon before meals, diluted in a small amount of water. The number of doses is at least three. The duration of treatment is one and a half months.
  • Let's prepare a collection of the following herbs, taken in equal proportions: burnet, knotweed, St. John's wort, calendula flowers, meadowsweet, bedstraw. Grind all the raw materials well and mix, taking two tablespoons for work. Mix this volume with half a liter of boiling water. Leave to brew until the composition cools down. Drink 70 ml three times a day. Duration of treatment is a month.
  • Make a collection, taking one tablespoon of each medicine: St. John's wort, dill seeds, chamomile flowers and chicory. Before going to bed, prepare an infusion for tomorrow: put a teaspoon of the herbal mixture in a thermos, combine with 200 ml of boiling water. Seal the thermos and leave overnight. Strain in the morning. Drink in small sips throughout the next day. Duration of treatment is three weeks. Take a break of 14 days, then continue therapy. The total duration of treatment is about three months.
  • Let's prepare a collection of the following herbs: lemon balm - 50 g, linden blossom - 50 g, white deadnettle - 70 g, crushed alder root - 10 g. Grind everything and mix. For work, you will need two tablespoons of the herbal mixture, which are poured with a glass of just boiled water. Leave to stand. Strain and divide the resulting amount of liquid into three daily doses. The duration of the course is two weeks. Then a break - 14 days and treatment again. The total duration of treatment is about three months.

Homeopathy

Today, homeopathy is gaining more and more popularity among people who are committed to treating various diseases using alternative medicine methods.

In relation to the treatment of the disease discussed in this article, homeopathic doctors are ready to offer several medications that, if they do not completely solve the problem, will relieve the pathological symptoms, improving the patient's condition.

Such homeo preparations include: Lilium tigrinum (Tiger lily) – doses 3 – 30. Dosage and schedule of administration are prescribed only by a homeopathic doctor.

  • Caulophyllum thalictroides (Cornflower) - is used in a wide range of dosages from 3 to 12. The dosage and schedule of administration is prescribed only by a homeopathic doctor.
  • Aesculus hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut) - doses – 3X, 3 – 6. Dosage and schedule of administration are prescribed only by a homeopathic doctor.
  • Helonias dioica (Yellow Chamelirium) - is used in a wide range of dosages from 1X to 30. The dosage and schedule of administration is prescribed only by a homeopathic doctor.
  • Platinum metallicum (Platinum) – doses 6 – 200. Dosage and schedule of administration are prescribed only by a homeopathic physician.
  • Sepia (Cuttlefish ink) – is used in a wide range of dosages from 6 to 200. The dosage and schedule of administration is prescribed only by a homeopathic doctor.
  • Natrium hypochlorosum (Sodium hypochlorate) - doses 3 – 6. Dosage and schedule of administration are prescribed only by a homeopathic physician.
  • Palladium (Palladium) – doses from 6 to 30. Dosage and schedule of administration are prescribed only by a homeopathic doctor.
  • Natrium muriaticum (Sodium chloride) - is used in a wide range of dosages from 6 to 200. The dosage and schedule of administration is prescribed only by a homeopathic doctor.
  • Aurum metallicum (Metallic gold) - doses 3 – 30. Dosage and schedule of administration are prescribed only by a homeopathic physician.
  • Nux vomica (Nux vomica, Chilibukha) - is used in a wide range of dosages from 3X to 200. The recommended time of administration is evening. The dosage and schedule of administration is prescribed only by a homeopathic doctor.

And there are many other homeopathic remedies that are ready to come to the rescue, but only if they are prescribed by a specialist.

Surgical treatment

When diagnosing a severe form of prolapse, or if conservative treatment methods have not produced the desired result, doctors prescribe surgical treatment. The method that can lead to the expected positive result is also selected based on the factor of whether the woman wants to become a mother in the future. If an organ-preserving operation is necessary, it may involve:

  • Plastic surgery to strengthen the muscle tissue of the pelvic floor.
  • Ligamentous tissue plastic surgery – shortening of fibers. But this method does not always show the expected result, since ligamentous fibers, after some time, are able to stretch again.
  • Alloplasty is the use of special alloplastic materials that make it possible to strengthen the strength of the ligament fibers of the uterus itself, and accordingly, its cervix will also rise.
  • A surgical procedure in which the opening of the vagina is reduced by means of sewing.
  • If a woman does not plan to give birth in the future or due to any medical indications, a complete removal of the uterus and its cervix is performed.

Exercises for cervical prolapse

To strengthen the muscles and connective tissues that support the pelvic organs, specialists are ready to offer exercises for cervical prolapse. These complexes are different. For example, you can use this:

  • Fix your hands at waist level. Cross your legs and walk in this position with a mincing step for five minutes.
  • Place your feet shoulder-width apart. Spread your arms out to the side. Bend over and try to reach your nearest toes with one hand. Do the same with the other hand.
  • Take the cat pose, kneeling and resting your hands on the floor. First straighten one leg. Return it to the starting position. And so ten times. Do the same movements with the other leg.

We can also offer another complex that is quite compatible with the previous one:

  • Squeeze the vaginal muscles and hold them tense for 10-15 seconds. Relax them. Squeeze them again and hold them in place. Spend about five minutes on this exercise.
  • Now not a static, but a more rhythmic contraction of these muscle fibers: five seconds of tension - five seconds of relaxation, and so on for two minutes.

But the most effective in this situation are considered to be Kegel exercises. Such exercises are performed from simple to complex. As you master some exercises, their complexity and duration of execution increases.

Before starting, any woman should first learn to tense the circular muscles of the vagina, without involving the abdominal muscles, sacrum. If she has performed the exercises given above, then it will be easy for her to master this technique. You should also master correct breathing.

  • Lying position, arms along the body. Slowly tense the muscle tissues of the perineum. Count to three (over time bring to 5 - 20 seconds) and relax. Do a number of approaches.
  • The exercise is similar to the first, only the pace of alternating tension and relaxation should be accelerated as quickly as possible.
  • The woman should imagine a ball in the perineal area and make an effort to push it out.
  • Lying position, arms along the body. It is necessary to alternately tense and release the pubococcygeus muscle. The tempo is average. Initially, this should be 30 times, gradually, as this muscle strengthens, increase the frequency to 300 times. If you have mastered this exercise, you can do it even standing on the bus, it will be unnoticeable to others.

Once the first stage has been completed, the exercises can be made somewhat more difficult over time.

Prevention

In order to initially avoid a situation where a combination of factors leads to prolapse of the cervix, prevention of the disease in question is necessary:

  • It is necessary to very carefully maintain body hygiene, especially intimate areas.
  • During pregnancy, especially in the later stages, it is necessary to wear a support bandage.
  • Early postpartum rehabilitation of the muscular tissues of the perineum and vagina.
  • It is necessary to regularly perform exercises, especially those that are responsible for strengthening the abdominal muscles and buttocks. Such exercises are especially relevant during pregnancy and after childbirth.
  • Eliminate strength sports from your life, especially those workouts that put excessive strain on the pelvic floor muscles.
  • It is necessary to promptly contact a specialist with a suspicion of any infectious lesion and treat it until complete recovery.
  • Every woman's diet should be healthy and balanced.
  • During the rest period, a woman must have time to fully restore lost strength.
  • Regular gymnastics exercises for the muscles of the intimate area are desirable.
  • Regularly, at least once a year, undergo a preventive gynecological examination.

Forecast

Prolapse of the reproductive organ is a rather difficult condition for the female body. If it is not treated, and the pathology progresses, the prognosis for such a situation may be a fatal outcome.

If a woman visits an obstetrician-gynecologist in time, the disease is easily stopped at an earlier stage, and the future life prognosis is very favorable. Such women are able to live to a ripe old age and still have children.

Cervical prolapse is an unpleasant and sometimes dangerous pathology. If a woman is suffering from this disease, she should not brush it aside under any circumstances. After all, over time the situation will only worsen, adding various complications. It is advisable to immediately consult a specialist. Perhaps your situation has not yet reached the category of severe stages and it will be quite possible to get by with exercises and other conservative treatment methods. The main thing is to follow all the recommendations given by a qualified specialist.
