Everyone knows that the language of a healthy person should be a mild pink color. Any, and even more so, black plaque on the tongue is an indication of any malfunction in the body.
Many years ago, the dark surface of the tongue was regarded unequivocally: cholera. However, in our time such a symptom has deeper characteristics. Let's try to understand this question.

The causes of black plaque in the language can be banal, or pathological.

Among the pathological causes, the most common are the following:

Why there is a black coating on the tongue? Often he appears with chronic abuse of alcoholic beverages and chemicals, which indicates that the body is excessively contaminated with slag, toxic substances and compounds.
Black plaque on a child's tongue is a sign, first of all, of gastric disorders. Most often, such a symptom is observed with the beginning of the introduction of complementary foods, which indicates that the baby's digestive system for switching to other meals is not yet ready. - Tea with the addition of oregano, foliage, psyllium, lime flowers and yarrow (separately or as a collection).
- Decoction of flax seed in the morning before eating.
- Oak bark (1 tbsp. For a glass of boiling water) - used for rinsing the mouth.
- Infusion of chamomile, leaves of strawberries, mint and sage - apply for rinses several times a day.
Limit the intake of dyeing and toxic substances into the body: stop smoking, drinking alcohol, strong coffee and black tea, medications (after consulting a doctor).
Set up a drinking regimen, especially with chronic intoxication: drink more clean water, from 2 to 3 liters per day.
Remember that self-medication is not the best way for a darkening of the tongue. Black plaque on the tongue can be a sign of a serious illness, so a specialist's consultation in this matter will not hurt.
