Aeroionotherapy is a treatment with "light" ions. Aeroions move along the lines of force of the electric field, which leads to neutralization of charges. When aeroions come into contact with the skin, the receptor apparatus is excited and local microcirculation changes (due to the formation of biologically active substances), and the amount of absorbed oxygen increases, and a bactericidal effect develops. The features of physiological reactions depend on the location, strength and duration of exposure to aeroions.

The areas of the face, collar zone, epigastric, lumbar regions, and individual parts of the body are subjected to aeroionization.
