The main symptoms of dyskinesia of the colon - a violation of the rhythm of defecation and abdominal pain. The frequency of defecation in healthy children is variable, stool retention for more than 2 days, delayed, difficult or systematically inadequate bowel evacuation is usually regarded as constipation.

In the hypertensive type of dyskinesia of the large intestine:

  • pains are localized usually in the lower and lower-lateral parts of the abdomen, have a cramping character. Pains, as a rule, are associated with defecation, they pass after bowel movement;
  • chair usually with a tendency to constipation, rarely there is an alternation of constipation and diarrhea. With constipation, the stool leaves in small portions of the "sheep" type, the stool of the feces is well fragmented, a ribbon-like stool, incomplete defecation is possible. Sometimes in a chair there is slime.

Hypotonic type of dyskinesia of the colon is characterized by:

  • persistent progressive constipation. Sometimes, after constipation, the stool leaves in a large volume, can be diluted. There is a gradual expansion of the distal parts of the colon, the tone of the anal sphincter can be weakened with the appearance of encopresis in the form of calomization;
  • pains in the abdomen occur, as a rule, only with a prolonged stool delay, are of a permanent bursting character, pass after the bowel has been emptied.

At objective research at the patient with a dyskinesia of a thick bow the unpleasant smell from a mouth, a delicacy of tongue, a small bloating can be noted. When palpating the abdomen, it is possible to detect spasmodic or dilated areas of the thick, often sigmoid colon. Sometimes stubborn locks palpate stool stones (fecal matter).
