Ultrasound signs of ectopic pregnancy
Education in a small pelvis in a woman of childbearing age may well be an ectopic pregnancy. Although echography can be useful, however, this method is not accurate enough for diagnosing ectopic pregnancy. Very rarely, echography reveals a fetal egg with an embryo located outside the uterine cavity, but most often in the anterior space the bleeding is determined, an enlarged, fluid-filled fallopian tube is visualized.
Be careful:
- A normal echographic picture of the pelvic organs does not exclude the presence of an ectopic pregnancy.
- If there are positive results of laboratory tests for pregnancy, the unchanged echographic pattern does not make it possible to exclude ectopic pregnancy.
When detecting a normal uterine pregnancy, there may be a simultaneous and ectopic pregnancy.
A careful comparison of the history and data of the clinical examination with an echographic picture is necessary.
