The spleen must have a homogeneous homogeneous structure. It is slightly less echogenic than the liver
Norm for ultrasound of the spleen
Length: The length and width of the organ can be measured in an oblique plane through the spleen gates from the 10th or 11th intercostal space (length <12 cm, width <7 cm). The size of the spleen is more correlated with the growth of the patient than with his age
Spleen: The spleen is visualized along the longitudinal axis at the depth of inhalation. The area of contact between the lung and spleen is a transverse dimension, the longitudinal dimension is measured from the indignant lower pole of the spleen. The diagonal size is measured from the lateral edge of the area of contact between the lung and spleen to the medial edge of the spleen
