A type of acute inflammatory process in the lymph nodes is serous lymphadenitis, which proceeds without the formation of a purulent discharge.
[1]
Symptoms of serous lymphadenitis
The disease develops with the defeat of one or a group of nodes that become dense in consistency and moderately painful. Skin over the zone of inflammation acquires a pronounced puffiness, and then a reddish hue. As the pathology progresses, lymph nodes lose mobility, painfulness grows. Without proper treatment, the serous stage grows into a purulent one.
Acute serous lymphadenitis
An increase in the lymph node or group of nodes with a characteristic pain in palpation is inherent in the acute course of the disease. The lymph nodes become dense, and as the pathology develops, there is swelling. Significant deterioration in the condition is observed in children under three years of age, older patients are less likely to complain of signs of intoxication, including: loss of appetite, sleep problems, headache, general weakness.
As the development of acute serous lymphadenitis is manifested by increased pain, reddening of the skin of the affected area, mobility of the lymph nodes decreases. Such changes indicate the onset of periadenitis - the involvement of adjacent fiber with the capsule of the node into the inflammation zone. In the absence of timely and proper treatment, acute gray serous lymphadenitis develops into a purulent lymphadenitis.

Treatment of serous lymphadenitis
Therapy of serous inflammation of the nodes should begin with the identification of the underlying cause, i.e. Diagnosis of primary disease. After elimination of the main focus of infection, treatment is reduced to increasing the protective forces of the body. For this purpose, a multivitamin complex and desensitizing agents are prescribed, the predominance of dairy and plant products in the diet.
Therapy of acute serous lymphadenitis is based on the recognition of the underlying cause of the disease. Suppression of the primary focus of infection ensures the recovery of the lymphatic system.
The use of antibiotics in the treatment of serous lymphadenitis is possible with the progression of the inflammatory process against the background of the elimination of the underlying cause, and also according to individual prescriptions (for example, in weakened patients). Locally on the area of the affected node apply Ointment Vishnevsky. Good results are obtained by electrophoresis, UHF, laser and magnetotherapy.
