Treatment of hepatitis E is the appointment of a set of therapeutic measures, as with other viral hepatitis.
Mode and diet for hepatitis E
Hospitalization is compulsory. Bed rest is maintained until the symptoms of intoxication disappear and a clear tendency to normalize the indicators of functional liver samples. Recommended diet table 5 and 5A. The diet is gentle, but it corresponds to the age of protein, fat and carbohydrates, enriched with vitamins. An abundant drink with alkaline mineral water and 5% glucose solution is given.
Medicinal treatment of hepatitis E
In severe forms of the disease with severe intoxication, detoxification therapy is necessary: a glucosoccal mixture is prescribed, reopoliglyukin is used to correct the microcirculatory bed. Glucocorticoids are prescribed in severe and malignant forms at the rate of prednisolone in a daily dose of 2-5 mg per 1 kg of body weight. The use of proteolysis inhibitors is shown. Hemorrhagic syndrome is stopped by the appointment of vikasol and ascorutin. Antibiotics are prescribed only if there are associated bacterial diseases.
With the development of viral hepatitis E in pregnant women, an artificial termination of pregnancy is not indicated. It is recommended to shorten the period of labor and their anesthesia.

Students are exempted from sports for a period of 6 months to 1 year, depending on the condition and well-being. Gentle physical activities are allowed immediately after the expiration of the acute period. Conducting preventive vaccinations can be resolved in 1-3 months after discharge from the hospital. However, this issue requires further study.
Prevention of hepatitis E
In occasion of a hepatitis E always the urgent notification in SES is sent. Patients are isolated for a period of at least 30 days from the onset of the disease. In children's institutions, after the isolation of patients, the final disinfection is carried out. On the group where a patient with hepatitis E. Is found, quarantine is applied for 45 days from the day of isolation of the patient. Children of this group are subject to regular medical supervision before the end of the quarantine period.
Currently, the hepatitis E vaccine, acceptable for practical use, has not been established. However, intensive work is being done in this direction. In particular, an experimental genetically engineered vaccine was created, intended for the introduction of a military Nepal - a region hyperendemic in hepatitis E.
