Prostate treatment in Israel is very popular among almost everyone who has encountered this unpleasant disease. Israeli specialists have developed a large number of methods for treating the disease. Among them, contact radiation therapy, radiotherapy, and microinvasive surgeries show good efficiency.

Prostate treatment is comprehensive, with the simultaneous work of several specialists (psychotherapists, urologists, andrologists, sexologists). Israeli methods of treating prostate diseases have already proven their effectiveness and, according to statistics, about 97% of patients fully recover.

Prostate cancer treatment in Israel

Prostate treatment in Israel, thanks to new methods, almost always gives positive results. Israeli medicine has already established itself as a reliable and effective source of medical services, so in case of serious health problems, many people prefer Israeli clinics.

Israeli specialists have developed new methods for diagnosing and treating prostate tumors. During the initial examination, the specialist determines the condition of the prostate gland using a rectal examination. If the size and texture of the prostate gland changes, the patient is prescribed additional tests and examinations (blood test, ultrasound, etc.).

Treatment of prostate adenoma in Israel

Prostate adenoma often begins to develop in men after 30 years. The disease is characterized by a slow progression, due to which symptoms begin to appear after 50 years.

Most prostate problems are treatable and do not lead to erectile dysfunction in men. Adenoma is not a precursor to cancer and does not increase the likelihood of its development, but serious symptoms (frequent and painful urination, urinary retention, increased risk of developing genitourinary infections, etc.) disrupt the patient's life and require mandatory therapy.

Treatment of prostate diseases in Israel is usually prescribed to patients with severe symptoms (often in advanced form).

In case of adenoma, alpha-blockers (smooth muscle relaxants) are often used – doxazosin, alfuzosin, tamsulosin, etc.

In general, medications provide relief to the patient within a few weeks, but do not reduce the size of the prostate gland and are often part of a comprehensive treatment.

In case of prostate adenoma, surgical intervention, microwave thermotherapy, transurethral (removal of part of the prostate with a special instrument through the penis) or laser resection of the prostate gland may be prescribed.

Prostate treatment methods in Israel

The main treatment for prostate cancer in Israel is surgery, when the affected organ and surrounding tissues are completely removed. Surgeons in Israeli clinics successfully perform operations to remove the prostate gland and testicles through a small incision in the lower abdomen. During the operation, the specialist takes a small piece of tissue for further examination in the laboratory.

Prostate removal surgery is quite serious, and the patient often requires a blood transfusion. After surgery, the patient is given a urethral catheter for three weeks.

After surgery, erectile dysfunction develops in almost half of the cases.

Radiotherapy is also an effective treatment method used by Israeli specialists. Radiotherapy is often used in combination with surgery, but it is mainly used as an independent method of therapy.

Radio waves destroy pathological cells in the prostate gland, the course of radiotherapy lasts two months. The main advantage of the method is that erectile dysfunction is observed in 40% of cases, the method allows treating patients with severe somatic pathologies. In addition, radiotherapy, as an independent method of treatment, allows avoiding a difficult rehabilitation period, as in the case of surgical intervention.

Disadvantages of radiotherapy include the need for daily exposure and the possibility of damage to healthy tissue.

The brachytherapy method is a fairly effective method of prostate therapy. The principle of treatment is the introduction of radioactive nuclei into the affected organ (the doctor selects the dosage individually). In terms of effectiveness, this method can be equated to surgery, in addition, brachytherapy has virtually no contraindications and does not cause adverse reactions in the body.

By introducing radioactive substances directly into the affected area, the possibility of damaging adjacent tissues is completely eliminated. No special preparation of the patient is required, and the patient can be discharged two hours after the procedure. The rehabilitation period takes only a week, after which the person can return to their normal life and work.

Prostate tumors are considered hormone-dependent and, during treatment, various medications are often prescribed that block sex hormones in men.

Typically, medications are prescribed as an additional treatment after surgery or other therapies.

In each case, therapy is selected by a specialist individually, based on the patient’s condition, severity of the disease, age, etc.
