In the treatment of systemic joint diseases, which includes mainly inflammatory diseases of the musculoskeletal system, several components are distinguished.
Topical therapy (withdrawal of pain syndrome): NSAIDs - nimesulide (resesulide), meloxicam (rheumoxicam), ketoprofen (ketonal), diclofenac (diclac); a group of opioid analgesics such as tramadol, tramadol; glucocorticoid drugs.
Until recently, it was believed that with the actual therapy aimed at the removal of pain, it is necessary to use either only a group of NSAIDs (diklak), or only a group of tramadol. Experience shows that the use of both groups simultaneously leads to a much larger effect. Additional appointment of tramadol strengthens the effect of NSAIDs and allows reducing their dose.
Basic preparations: cytostatics (methotrexate, cyclophosphamide), quinoline and sulfanilamide preparations, immunotropic drugs (immunomodulators, anticytokine agents). In the treatment of metabolic-dystrophic joint diseases, a group of chondroprotective drugs (teraflex) belongs to the basic therapy.
Additional therapy: local therapy, extracorporeal detoxification, vitamin therapy, physiotherapy.
A fairly large list of extracorporeal methods of treatment used today has its limited indications, which include a high degree of activity of the immune-inflammatory process, including local, with the presence of lesions at once many joints and the lack of effect from previous therapy.
