In the treatment of patients with campylobacteriosis taking place in the form of enteritis and gastroenteritis, etiotropic treatment of campylobacteriosis is not carried out, since the disease is prone to spontaneous self-healing. Usually limited to nonspecific symptomatic therapy. The use of antibiotics is advisable in the severe course of campylobacteriosis, in the treatment of patients with a burdened premorbid background and with the threat of complications. Hospitalized patients according to clinical indications. Patients are recommended 1-2, diet No. 4.
Etiotropic treatment of campylobacteriosis is carried out with antibiotics: erythromycin and gentamicin, as well as fluoroquinolones. The appointment of erythromycin is most expedient in the first 4 days of the disease at a dose of 0.25-0.3 g 4-6 times a day (no more than 2 g / day).
Dehydration syndrome is rehydrated. In chronic forms of campylobacteriosis, repeated courses of treatment with different antibiotics are prescribed with an interval of 7-10 days between them in combination with general restorative therapy.
In generalized forms of Campylobacter infection, the best effect is observed with gentamycin, although good results are obtained when treatment of campylobacteriosis is carried out with erythromycin, tetracycline, chloramphenicol.
