Vomiting in the child

Vomiting is the eruption of gastric or intestinal contents through the mouth and nasal passages to the outside. Vomiting is a frequent symptom in children, and the smaller the child, the easier it is. The mechanism of vomiting consists in a sharp relaxation of the diaphragm and a simultaneous, sharp contraction of the musculature of the abdominal wall, when the gastric contents are forcefully pushed into the esophagus.

Abdominal pain in a child: causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment

Pain in the abdomen of a child is a cardinal symptom of many sorrows and digestive organs. In young children, the equivalent of pain is anxiety, screaming, rejection of the mother's breast. In children of preschool and primary school age, pain can be manifested by a feeling of rapid saturation and overfilling of the stomach.

Constipation in children

Constipation - delayed, difficult or systematically insufficient emptying of the intestine. For most children, a chronic stool delay of more than 36 hours is considered constipation.

Jaundice

Since the liver plays a primary role in the metabolism of bilirubin, jaundice traditionally refers to typical large hepatic syndromes, although in some cases it can occur without liver disease (for example, in massive hemolysis). The jaundice is caused by an increase in bilirubin in the blood (hyperbilirubinemia) of more than 34.2 μmol / l (2 mg / dl)

Diarrhea (diarrhea) in children

A frequent mushy stool (4 to 6 times a day) can be observed in normal infants; this should not cause concern, unless there is evidence of anorexia, vomiting, weight loss, slowing the rate of weight gain, blood separation with stool.
