Vaccination against rubella is carried out with live attenuated monovalent vaccines and combination vaccines. The following vaccines for the prevention of rubella are certified in Ukraine:

  • rudivax (France);
  • rubella vaccine live attenuated (India);
  • rubella vaccine, live attenuated (Croatia);
  • rubella vaccine, live attenuated culture (Russia);
  • vaccine for the prevention of measles, rubella and mumps (M-M-R II, Netherlands);
  • vaccine for the prevention of measles, rubella and mumps (Priorix, Belgium);
  • measles, mumps and rubella vaccine, live attenuated, non-philized (India).

To prevent congenital rubella, women who have contracted rubella or have had contact with people who have rubella (in the absence of vaccination and a history of rubella) are advised to terminate their pregnancy.
