The regime is determined by the indication for hospitalization. Patients with hydrophobia are hospitalized in the ICU. Development of rabies is accompanied by a violation of swallowing, which requires the installation of a nasogastric tube and a probe feeding.

Effective treatment of rabies is absent. With the development of the disease, the patient is hospitalized in an infectious hospital (in the ICU) where infusion, sedative therapy and anticonvulsant treatment are performed with compliance with anti-epidemic measures, muscle relaxants, narcotics, and ventilation are administered if necessary.
