Medical measures taken to treat vascular complications in retinal angiopathy should be comprehensive.

  • Medication therapy is important, which is aimed at improving blood flow in the vessels of the eyes. Treatment is carried out in courses using the following drugs - Emoxipin, Mildronate, Solcoseryl, Vazonit, Arbiflex, Trenatal. These drugs improve microcirculation processes in the eye vessels. Also, the effect of using these drugs will be an increase in the plasticity of red blood cells, which helps them move better through the capillaries of the eyes.
  • The following medications help prevent thrombus formation: Pentoxifylline and Curantil. It is also good to use medications to improve blood rheology in vessels: Xanthiol nicotinate and nicotinic acid.
  • Ginkgo biloba and calcium dobesilate preparations reduce vascular permeability.
  • The best way to nourish eye tissue is with Actovegin injections and eye drops, which will be discussed below. The exchange of useful substances in the vessels and adjacent tissues helps restore the use of cocarboxylase and ATP.
  • It is also necessary to take vitamin complexes to improve the condition of the eyes, which are represented by the drugs Lutein Complex, Anthocyan Forte. It is also important to take ascorbic acid and Neurorubin. Such a measure will allow achieving the effect of improving microcirculation in the eye vessels, and will also maintain the patient's visual acuity.
  • Following a special diet, especially for diabetes, which will help neutralize the underlying disease and improve blood circulation in the retina. It is important to know that one of the requirements of such a diet is the prohibition of foods rich in carbohydrates. The same applies to food with a large number of calories per unit of measurement. Salt restrictions in dishes are also important, since they lead to the normalization of metabolism and improvement of the body's recovery functions.
  • Including feasible physical exercises in your daily routine that provide energy to the muscular system and also improve the condition of blood vessels and the heart.
  • When treating angiopathy caused by hypertension, it is important to reduce blood pressure and cholesterol levels with a special diet and medications. Such complex treatment can be performed by a therapist or cardiologist.
  • Application of physiotherapy methods. It is possible to use laser coagulation, as well as a course of treatment with magnetic therapy and acupuncture.
  • An important method of physiotherapy is currently considered to be "Sidorenko Glasses". This device is a combination of pneumomassage, phonophoresis, infrasound and color therapy. This complex has a powerful effect on the retina, allowing to achieve a high effect in a short time.
  • It is good to take courses of massage of the cervical spine.
