Indications for ultrasound of the mammary glands
- Differential diagnosis of cysts and solid formations revealed by palpation and X-ray mammography.
- Examination of radiographically dense mammary glands.
- Examination of mammary glands in pregnant and lactating mothers.
- Examination of mammary glands in women under 30 years.
- Examination of mammary glands in children and adolescents of both sexes.
- Examination of mammary glands in the acute period of trauma or inflammation.
- Evaluation of the state of silicone prostheses of mammary glands.
- Ultrasonic monitoring with puncture biopsy of palpable and non-palpable formations in the mammary glands and surrounding tissues.
- Examination of mammary glands in men.
- Evaluation of seals of unknown etiology in the mammary glands.
- As an adjunct to X-ray mammography in a group of premenopausal women.
- As an addition to the X-ray mammography, with ambiguous radiographic findings.
