Indications for ultrasound of the kidneys and ureters
- Pain in the kidneys or in the course of the ureters.
- Suspicion of a renal tumor (large kidney).
- Nonfunctioning, according to urography, a kidney.
- Hematuria.
- Chronic infection of the urinary tract.
- Injury.
- Suspicion of polycystosis.
- Fever of unknown origin or postoperative complications.
- Renal insufficiency of unknown origin.
- Schistosomiasis.
