Indications for ultrasound of the kidneys and ureters

  1. Pain in the kidneys or in the course of the ureters.
  2. Suspicion of a renal tumor (large kidney).
  3. Nonfunctioning, according to urography, a kidney.
  4. Hematuria.
  5. Chronic infection of the urinary tract.
  6. Injury.
  7. Suspicion of polycystosis.
  8. Fever of unknown origin or postoperative complications.
  9. Renal insufficiency of unknown origin.
  10. Schistosomiasis.
