Anti-HB with IgG in serum is normal.
In patients with anti-HB with IgG appear in the acute period of viral hepatitis B and persist throughout life. Anti-HB c IgG is the leading marker of advanced hepatitis B virus.
The blood test for the presence of anti-HB c IgG is used for the following purposes:
- Diagnosis of chronic carriers of HBV in the presence of HB s of Ag in the serum;
- diagnosis of advanced hepatitis B virus.
