General information about osteochondrosis

Osteochondrosis: what does everyone need to know?

Osteochondrosis is a spinal problem that affects literally every fourth inhabitant of the planet, at least this is what experts from the WHO statistics center claim.

Osteochondrosis of the spine: symptoms, diagnosis, treatment

Osteochondrosis of the spine is a fairly common disease. Contrary to popular belief, it occurs not only in elderly people, but also in 20-year-olds, and its onset is quite unexpected: you can feel a sharp attack of pain when bending over to pick up a fallen item, leaning over a table, or simply making some movement.

Pelvic girdle

The bones of the pelvic girdle are connected to each other in front by the pubic semi-joint, and at the back with the sacrum they form the sacroiliac joints.

Spinal movements

Due to the unique arrangement of the two joints - the articulationes inter-vertebrales at the back and the main articulation articulatio intersomatica at the front between the bodies of the vertebrae, movements are possible in all directions, although they are performed unevenly in its various sections.

Anatomo-biomechanical features of the spine

The spinal column should be considered from the anatomical (biomechanical) and functional side. Anatomically, the spine consists of 32, sometimes 33 separate vertebrae, connected to each other by intervertebral discs (art. intersomatica), which represent a synchondrosis, and joints (art. intervertebrales).
