Laboratory and instrumental data
- General blood, urine and stool analysis: normal.
- Blood biochemistry: no abnormalities.
- Study of gastric secretory function: quite often reveals gastric hypersecretion and an increase in the level of free hydrochloric acid.
- FEGDS: the gastric mucosa is normal, sometimes more pronounced folds than usual are determined, the vascular pattern is pronounced, the tone of the stomach is increased, sometimes the tone is decreased.
- X-ray examination of the stomach: reveals disturbances in the motor function of the stomach.
- Gastric mucosa biopsy: no abnormalities.
- Ultrasound of the stomach: using special techniques, a violation of the evacuation function of the stomach is detected.
- Electrogastrography: reveals disturbances in the tone and motility of the stomach.
