Fluctuation is a method of local exposure to alternating sinusoidal electric current of appropriate parameters through electrodes placed in contact with certain areas of the patient's skin.

Current density up to 3 mA/cm2; voltage up to 100 V; current oscillation frequency 100-2000 Hz. The amplitude (current strength) and frequency of alternating current change randomly (chaotically) during the exposure. Current shape: bipolar symmetrical, bipolar asymmetrical, unipolar symmetrical.

The peculiarities of the factor's action are caused by the chaotic nature of changes in the parameters of alternating electric current, and, accordingly, by the chaotic nature of electrodynamic changes in the structures and systems of the body, which prevents rapid adaptation of tissues to the action of currents.

Fluctuation has the following clinical effects: local anesthetic, local myostimulating, anti-inflammatory, neurotrophic.

Fluctuation apparatus: "ASB-2-1", "FT-30-05", "FS-100".
