Symptoms of laryngitis in erysipelas
Clinically manifested by the same signs as the phlegmon of the larynx, so some authors treat this disease as a hyperreactive streptococcal laryngitis. However, in the presence of erysipelas of the face, which has spread to the mucous membrane of the nasopharynx, there is simultaneously a pronounced inflammatory process in the larynx (bright hyperemia of the mucous membrane, edema, chondroperichondritis), it is impossible to deny the face of the larynx.

Diagnosis and treatment of laryngitis in erysipelas
The diagnosis "erysipelas of laryngitis" is established on the basis of general clinical symptoms of erysipelas and an endoscopic picture.
Treatment of laryngitis in erysipelas is divided into general and local. Intramuscularly introduce penicillin, carry out detoxification, anti-edematous, antihistamine and other symptomatic therapy; locally - inhalation of aerosols of antibiotics with hydrocortisone, alkaline-oil mixtures, according to indications - proteolytic and mucolytic agents.
The prognosis is very serious, because, along with local pathological changes, the disease can lead to a lightning-fast laryngeal obstruction; a pronounced septic state of the patient, which violates the functions of vital organs, is observed.
