The share of juvenile bleeding1 accounts for 10-20 % of all cases of dysfunctional uterine bleeding (2-3 % of girls of school age suffer from juvenile menstrual bleeding). The disease occurs more often in girls whose mothers have a pathological course of pregnancy, and the patients themselves suffered from acute and chronic infections.
As a rule, dysfunctional uterine bleeding period of puberty is of the nature of anovulatory, proceed according to the type of atresia of the follicles. Depending on the duration of the follicle, bleeding begins either within the expected period of the month, or after a delay in menstruation. Bleeding is usually copious, not accompanied by a pain symptom, quickly leads to anemia of the patient. Secondary disorders of the blood coagulation system are often developed.
Dysfunctional uterine bleeding of the reproductive period can occur against the background of ovulation or be anovulatory, maintain a cyclic bleeding or become acyclic.
In many cases (if the follicle and / or the yellow body is insufficient, with a short rhythmic persistence of the follicle), women are not bothered by bleeding per se, the patients are more concerned about the absence of pregnancy or spontaneous interruption of it. True, if the follicle is insufficient, there are complaints of moderate or poor discharge of blood after menstruation, to shorten the duration of the menstrual cycle. The lack of a yellow body can be accompanied by the appearance of smearing blood before the onset of menstruation. Such violations of the menstrual cycle do not pose an immediate threat to health and life and do not require emergency assistance.
Significant or profuse bleeding is accompanied by disorders of the menstrual cycle, proceeding according to the type of the follicle or yellow body persistence, as well as the type of atresia of the follicles. The onset of bleeding is preceded by amenorrhea of different duration. Similar bleeding is also characteristic of premenopausal women. More than half of all cases of acyclic bleeding in the background of anovulation occur during this period of a woman's life.
