Diseases of the joints, muscles and connective tissue (rheumatology)

Kawasaki disease

Kawasaki disease - mucocutaneous-lymphatic syndrome, which develops mainly in children, affects large, medium and small (mainly coronary) arteries and is manifested by high fever, conjunctivitis, enlargement of the cervical lymph nodes, polymorphous rash on the body and extremities.

At the heart of the treatment of systemic scleroderma is the administration of drugs with an antifibrotic effect of penicillamine (coulenyl) in combination with arterial vasodilators and antiplatelet agents.

Diagnosis of systemic scleroderma

Diagnosis of systemic scleroderma, which is based on data from instrumental and laboratory studies, allows assessing the degree of involvement of internal organs and the severity of pulmonary hypertension.

Features of heart damage in systemic scleroderma

Presumptive mechanisms of cardiac pathology in systemic scleroderma include ischemic damage, myocarditis, progressive fibrosis, systemic hypertension and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) with the development of chronic pulmonary heart.

Causes of systemic scleroderma

The causes of systemic scleroderma are complex and insufficiently studied. Multifactorial genesis of the disease due to the interaction of unfavorable exogenous and endogenous factors with a genetic predisposition to the disease is suggested.

Coronary artery disease and angina pectoris in patients with rheumatoid arthritis

The prevalence of ischemic heart disease (CHD) in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is not known. In the vast majority of studies, mortality from cardiovascular diseases, including CHD, among RA patients was studied.

Rheumatoid arthritis

Rheumatic arthritis is the most common manifestation of rheumatic fever (RL) present in 75% of patients with the first attack. In adolescents of the older age group and adults, joint damage is often the only primary criterion for RL and is more severe than in children.
