Blood coagulation time (according to Sukharev) is a fairly simple blood test, which is taken from a finger. In itself, the clotting factor is needed to assess the state of enzymes, but it is not information about the mechanisms of its violation.
In general, the coagulation process shows how much the body can protect itself, including the loss of blood. Clotting directly depends on the functioning of the endocrine, as well as the nervous system. To determine the status and evaluation of hemostasis (a common coagulation system), a coagulogram is prescribed that has a number of indicators, including blood coagulation time (according to Sukharev).
In fact, Sukharev's method makes it possible to estimate the interval between the collection of blood and the beginning of its condensation, more precisely the appearance in it of fibrin (clot).
Previously, more than thirty methods of determining coagulability were used in medicine, today only two laboratories are used, the most reliable and informative - according to Sukharev and the Lee-White method. Sukharev's method determines the time of blood coagulation only capillary, and the Lee-White method is only venous. This is their difference, and on the whole, both these methods are sufficiently informative and without them it is impossible to obtain a complete homeostatic picture.
Preparation for this analysis is not required, in addition to the fact that the sampling is carried out in the morning and on an empty stomach. From liquids, you can only use water, since all sorts of juices, as well as tea or coffee, can distort the picture of the coagulogram. The procedure itself takes very little time.
How is the coagulogram that determines the coagulation time (according to Sukharev)?
The material for the study is a small amount of blood from the patient's finger. The blood is placed in a special tripod, the so-called Panchenkov's apparatus. Since the very first drop can contain a tissue fluid, only the following portions are examined, and the first drop is soaked and rubbed off the finger.
The material is typed in a special vessel - the capillary, which tilts at a given rhythm either to the left or to the right at a certain angle. The stopwatch detects the time when the blood ceases to move freely inside the vessel, that is, it begins to coagulate. The time of blood coagulation (according to Sukharev) is normally: the beginning of fibrin formation from 30 to 120 seconds, the end of the process from 3 to 5 minutes.
It should be noted that the results, that is, the time of blood coagulation (according to Sukharev) can vary depending on what drugs a person is being examined. For example, the period from the formation of fibrin to the end of the clotting process can be increased because of the use of anticoagulants (warfarin, fractiparin and others). Also increase the coagulation time of liver pathology or more severe diseases, such as hemophilia.
Coagulation time (according to Sukharev) can be much lower than normal, as a rule this happens in women taking oral contraceptives, it is also possible with large blood loss.
It should be taken into account that coagulability can be increased due to the fact that in the body began to be formed in large amounts of prothrombinase. All information about the time and rate of blood flow minimization is needed primarily for the doctor to clarify the diagnosis and monitor the effectiveness of therapy. In any case, the interpretation of such a complex indicator is the task of a specialist, not the patient himself.
Blood clotting time (according to Sukharev) is one of the possibilities to determine the stages of a complex enzymatic process, when fibrinogen, soluble in an ordinary medium, becomes insoluble, and this time index plays an extremely important role in interpreting the coagulogram as a whole.
