Orthomolecular medicine

Also called megavitamin therapy, this therapy uses high-dose combinations of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids to treat specific disorders. Some of the most common orthomolecular therapies use shark cartilage to treat cancer, chelation therapy to remove toxic materials from the bloodstream and treat cardiovascular disorders, essential fatty acids and vitamins to treat the often neglected hyperactivity disorder and other mental disorders.
